Can someone tell me a little about the transportation at OKW? I know bus service is hit or miss at all the resorts, but in general what has your experience been? Is the bus stop over crowded in the morning? The resort seems spread out. Is it a walkable resort or are there multiple bus stops? We don't mind walking at all, but will be there for the marathon and and are a little concerned we won't be able to walk the next day:rotfl2:

Thanks!

In our multiple trips to OKW, we never had a problem with transportation.

Bus route is as follows:

Peninsular Road
South Point
Turtle Pond
Miller Road
Hospitality House

The Internal/DTD bus also stops at HH first.

If you are staying in the HH house area-- use the peninsular road bus stop to get off the bus after returning to from the parks. It took us a few times of riding the resort to realize that we could get off the 1st stop and walk across the bridge to our building.

Also when it was EMH at MK - if you are at HH the bus was usually packed (we go in Aug) so we would hop the 1st Epcot bus. Then take the monorail to the MK. It made it easier to get there w/o a overcrowded bus.

Overall the buses were great at OKW- stayed 4 yrs in a row. We learned the above from trial and error. It works for us- may not work for others. We stayed at AKV a few weeks ago but seriously missed the laid back feeling of OKW.

We found the bus service to be very good, with one exception. The DTD bus was very hit and miss. Still, weather permitting you have the boat option to DTD as well so it is not too much of a problem.
