OKW to Epcot--walk?

I am pretty certain - you would get picked up by Disney security - called probably by the bus drivers.

the bus drivers have enough trouble avoiding all the tourist traffic - don't make their job tougher - just take the bus.

at OKW you can go around OKW - it is about 2 miles if you go on every one of the roads. you can also walk over to SSR - that is around 1 1/2 mile (might be more) - as well as DDWest side.

if that is not enough for you - then from the MK take the boat to VWL or FW - lots of walking area here. You can walk from the boat at FW to the front (outpost) if you really want to there is a path. then turn around and walk back then walk to VWL.

Pluto4Pres says : I remember one trip where we were standing at the South Point bus stop in the afternoon. We heard this very loud music coming from across the highway. We figured out what it was later that week when we saw the afternon parade at the WS. That made me realize how close we were to Epcot.

Same here. We were able to see the tops of the Illuminations show from our OKW balcony, as well as hear the music. It's funny when I read TR's here and there were people who have stayed at OKW say things like "I felt isolated" or "it's so far from everything" or "away from the magic" etc. I just feel OKW has gotten the art of illusion down. OKW makes people feel like they're off in some tranquil resort. It's so easy to relax and unwind there, but in reality, the parks are just a short bus ride away (not worth the risk to walk imo).
