You could but I hope you are a marathon runner because it is going to be about 2 miles or better just to the East End of DTD and then almost another mile through DTD to the West End. And btw no question on here is EVER dumb if you don't know, then ask, its the only way you will find out thats the beauty of these boards!!

Not from hospitality but from the side street in the mid-50's [i can't remember the bus stop]
you walk along the golf course;past THV; past SSR and enter the west side.

PP is correct in ~2 miles but it is an easy walk and doesn't take much time.

there is also a not-so-legal walk from the back of OKW along the grass to the west side which is about 1/3 of a mile.

The path is from the southpoint area. It is a nice relaxing walk and passes past the treehouses. If you are headed to the west side of DTD it really is not that bad, if you have to walk all the way through DTD then it is much longer. If you are up neat HH you can take the boat to DTD which basically paralells the walking route

I had dinner with a couple who stayed at OKW over the summer. They tried to walk to DTD but were stopped by security. They were told that they were not allowed to walk via the golf course area..which is about the only way to do it. So, they had to turn back and take the boat.

This is what I believe to be the only "legal" way to walk from OKW to DTD West Side.
Total distance 1.6 miles from HH, add another .6 mile to the Marketplace.

Walking via golf course cart paths is a no-no, and isn't that much shorter anyway.

Yes as long as you make a hard left after you cross the bridge you are fine.
