Hello everyone! I have a question regarding the televisions at OKW, and am hoping that someone can help.
Every year we have a small family reunion at OKW to celebrate my grandmother's birthday (this year she will be 99). My grandmother will be staying in the studio portion of the two-bedroom unit.
Among other things, my grandmother loves to watch television, but her hearing isn't quite as good as it was 70 years ago. So, she has a device called "TV Ears" that plugs into the audio-out jacks on the television, which allows her to blast the volume on the TV without waking the neighbors, startling the wildlife, and drowning out the fireworks from MK.
Last year, the TV in the studio didn't have audio-out jacks, so we weren't able to hook up the device. She didn't complain, but I know she would have had a better time if she would have been able to use it.
I called OKW, and maintenance insisted that the small televisions do have the jacks, but what they described sounded more like audio-in (for example, for a DVD player) than audio-out.
Has anyone been in an OKW studio recently? Any idea if the small televisions have this capability?
Or, has anyone ever tried to rent a larger television for a studio? If so, can you get it from Disney, or do you need to go offsite?
