OKW Suggestion?

HI-
We will be heading down to WDW and staying at OKW. Anyone have a suggestion for requesting a building? We've never stayed here before and we'd like ot be near the bus stop and main building. Suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Last July we stayed in building 13. It was room 1314 I think, a 2BR ground floor. It was directly across from the Hospitality House and the Bus Stop. It was very convienent for us. We loved being able walk across the street and be at the HH, bus stop, store, and main pool!

We like bldgs. 26 & 27...24 and 25 arent bad either. Nice and close to HH and short walk to pool.

We like Southpoint (55 and 56) and Turtle Pond (35,41, etc). We like both those pools and there is good access to bus stops. We love OKW and feel it is hard to get a bad location, all have pluses and minuses!

OOps! I should have added that my choices are NOT near the HH, but good choices if you don't get near HH... HH is a hard request to get.

My preferred location is near the South Point bus stop or pool as well. We also like the area around Miller's road for views.

Just don't be to disappointed if you do not get what you requested. They will take them but do not quarentee the request.

We just had our 1st OKW stay last week (oh, how I miss it already!). We checked in late Easter Day and got a (cough, cough) smoking room in building #41. We asked to be put on a waiting list to move to a non-smoking room, and moved the next day to building #35, which had great access to the Old Turtle Pond bus stop (right across the road), was a short walk to the Turtle Pond pool/laundry and was only a ~7 minute walk to the main pool. I now understand why OKW owners are such loyal fans. It is a GREAT resort and easy on the points budget. I'm headed back in 73 days for a "girls only" trip with my mom, my sister and my niece. I hope we get as great a location as we did this time. My niece can't wait to try out the new slide. I have a feeling OKW is going to be seeing a lot more of me!!

We like the Southpoint or Turtle Pond area, although we have basically stayed in every "area" except really close to the HH and have found them all to be fine.

That is the nice thing about OKW, there really isn't a "bad" spot or a "bad" view overall.

If you get the Southpoint or Turtle Pond areas, you are also pretty close to the walking path to SSR & DTD, which is enjoyable. Each area has a bus stop and a quiet pool as well. Plus, if you are a person that enjoys walking, walking to the HH area from either Southpoint or Turtle Pond is enjoyable.
