OKW, studio, what area to request?

We are going in Nov and staying in SSR. My parents are going to join us for a few days and we are going to rent them a studio. From what I see, OKW are the only studios that have 2 queen beds (rather then bed and sofa) so I was thinking of renting a studio there for them.

Where is the best location for them with the least amount of walking to the main area (food,gift shop etc)?

near the hospitality house (HH) is what you are looking for and is classified as a separate booking category. (no extra point cost, though.)

i'm not sure any studios will still be available for nov (at all, much less the "HH" rooms) but best of luck to you in looking for a rental...

At OKW, there is a special booking category "near the Hospitality House," and that's what you should try for. If you get it, they will be guaranteed to be pretty close to the main area of the resort.

However, depending on when in November you are going, you may have to take anything you can get...especially if you're going after Thanksgiving.

You are right about the beds -- two queens in OKW studios.

There are only three buildings with elevators. If your parents can't take the stairs, you need to request a first floor for medical reasons.

And I agree, getting something for Nov 08 on points will be extremely difficult this late. But if you go through CRO and pay cash, you might be able to get something. But Hospitality House is only bookable through MS.

I just booked November 19th - 23rd (before Thanksgiving) at OKW and have my choice of either near the HH or not.

I chose not, since I will have a car and dont care where I am located.

In reality, just about any place is going to be about the same access to the main area. All you need is to walk to the nearest bus stop...take the first bus that comes along and get off at HH. Many times that will be far less walking than even going from your HH area room to HH. You could be in building 24 of the HH catagory, and that is much farther to walk to HH than taking a bus from building 50.
