OKW Signatures?

So I see there are about 3 signatures. One of the main buildings in day or in evening, but then there are some that look like separate buildings in a log cabin-esque type facade that don't look anything like the main buildings- can someone tell me the difference?

Wheres a good place to see a lot of photos of OKW?

I probably should explain a bit for those of you who have not been around the DIS too long. We built the log home in my signature a few years ago, and I documented the construction process on the Community Board here on the DIS. When it was mostly done, I put this picture in my signature. We still aren't completely done with it though. Now we are adding rock face to the areas that appear white in the photo. Like in this picture.

I don't appreciate being laughed at. Since the OKW sig was next to the photo I thought it a legitimate question to ask- I also have been around the DIS since 2004- so I'm not new to the DIS, but I AM new to the DVC section of the boards. Gee, thanks for making me feel welcome.

Sorry you feel laughed, no harm was intended but it is funny for those of us who know that it is Diane's home. And really OKW doesn't look anything like it, maybe WL but not OKW.

I am sure that there was no malicious intent to make fun of you...it was an honest misunderstanding. We've seen Diane's signature for some time now so I can see how it struck some people as a humorous error.

Diane....all you need now is a 7 story fireplace and I'll be giving you 50 points a night for two of your bedrooms!

For the record, I assumed the house was part of OKW too. It wasn't until I got interested in DVC that I realized it had to be somewhere else. It's only in reading this thread I learned what it is.

Knowing Diane, I can assure you nothing was malicious in her reply. For those of us who are familiar with DVC, and specifically OKW, your OP did tickle our funny bone, but you do have a valid point. Diane has placed her OKW graphic right next to the picture of her house, which, in all fairness could definitely mislead someone not familiar with OKW to believe the photo had something to do with OKW, so you most definitely had a legitimate question to ask.

Maybe Diane can make some changes to her signature, such as a label for the photo.

Since the OP wasn't the first to misinterpret this, it's possible others are doing the same.

Please don't feel like we were laughing at you, because as Bill said, others have thought it was Wilderness Lodge. I will go in and see what I can do to make the signature less confusing.

LOL, Granny, maybe for one of those 1000 point resales....As it is, we do have a huge stone fireplace right in the middle of the great room.

Diane, thanks for the apology- accepted and appreciated, I think my ego was hurt more than anything, although I don't post all the time,I am on all the time and consider myself a Disney expert in many ways (NOT DVC)- but willing to learn more if my vacation will benefit by me learning.
It seemed like your photo was everywhere- and I hadn't paid attention to the fact that it was the same username with the photo- seeing your # of posts now, it makes sense- you are EVERYWHERE and it just didn't seem to fit with the other OKW photos I've seen. It's a beatiful home-

Oh yeah! Big dog lover! I have a Lab (purebred) and a yellow lab/shepherd mix and have been doing rescue for about 12 years. (fostering, rehab for heartworm positive dogs, training, and then screening and placement) Labs4Rescue is my main rescue now, but I have worked with several smaller ones thru the years. I've had a couple "honorary labs" like Leonburgers and German Sheps, but never an Airedale, I hear they (terriers) can be stubborn dogs I never understood how all those show dogs dropped their tendencies to be so well behaved in the ring!

Dont you think Disney should have some DVC wear for dogs? I think the stuff in the gift shops is cheesy for anything over 50lbs!
