Can anyone tell me about it? We will be there one night w/out dinning and I wondered if the dinning at OKW was ok?

Olivia's is the table service restaurant, and Good's to Go is a snack bar. There is no "food court" area at OKW.

Olivia's has pretty good dinners, but we prefer their breakfasts or lunches, we don't usually eat a heavy dinnertime meal. Service is usually good and very friendly, but relaxed, don't be in a hurry. For dinner, we often hop on the boat to DtD and go to Earl of Sandwich.

Olivia's is very casual, but comfortable. We've had both lunch and dinner there (breakfast is in our villa), and enjoyed both. Goods 2 Go (the window service location) is, IMO, "for emergencies only."

Long story short...we had reservations for the Luau at Poly Resort that were made for Fri 8PM and reconfirmed prior to the trip---but when I went to pick-up the tickets at OKW Concierge---they were for Sat. Unfortunately, concierge was of no help. Luau was booked solid, it was a Friday night during Free Dining and the chance of us getting another ADR was slim to none. Disappointed we decided to just eat at OKW-namely, Olivia's. It was a pleasant surprise. Laid back atmosphere-like you'd find at a small diner in the town of OKW. Fans on the ceiling. Food and drinks matched that of most family oriented disney restaurants-minus the heavy theming of course. It was a nice change of pace. The coconut bread is served warm and is awesome!

Best of Luck!

We really enjoy the food at Olivias, but like others have said we usually prefer lunch there and dinner at DTD. I second Earl of Sandwich or you could do Pucks express.:thumbsup2

Great place to have a casual meal with interesting decor. Best hamburger on property! Can eat inside and out.

Olivias is actually one of my favorite restaurants in disney. The food is good, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is awesome.

You all are making me excited to get there and try it..
Thanks for all the advice!

Breakfast, I really like their breakfast potatoes.
Lunch, the burger or turkey sandwich are the best! and theres a good ceasar salad
Dinner, I love that Carbernet sauce on the steak and my son always gets the grilled pork chop (it's huge), he can't eat it all but he loves it.

Enjoy!

We're huge fans of Olivia's but I've got to say that we prefer lunch there to dinner. If you have a car, I'd head over to Jiko or Boatwrights (depending on your budget) play a round at Winter/Summer Land and the have a drink at the Gurgling Suitcase and hit the hot tub by the lighthouse. The kids can swim or play ping pong outside of Hanks.

Unfortunately, there are slim pickings at OKW. Dinner at Olivia's is probably your best bet or driving somewhere close by if you don't mind driving.

We enjoyed breakfast there but not dinner. I guess it depends if you want a fancy dinner or not.

I would take the boat ride over to SSR for dinner over Olivia's.

We LOVED Olivia's!! We ate there in August and decided that this has to be added to our list of must do's. My oldest DD and I had the Crab-crusted Mahi Mahi and it was DELICIOUS!!!! My DH had the Caribbean Barbecue Grouper and he said it was one of the best meals he's had at Disney. I would definitely make a reservation!!:thumbsup2

We love Olivia's......we've eaten B, L & D there. Haven't had a meal we didn't enjoy. And the CM's are very nice. A very cozy atmosphere.

Someone mentioned Earl Of Sandwich. Very good BUT, the last 3 times we went, it was PACKED. I mean mob-scene. The last time, this past Aug, we just walked out and got seated at Wolfgang Puck's Express. So unless u pick an "off" time for Earl (get there for lunch around 11 am.....or dinner around 4 pm, there are so many times when it's a long line and no tables.

We are staying at OKW in a few weeks and I really like the sound of Olivia's. Is it necessary to have an ADR for there? I really hate making them and being on a schedule, and wondered how busy they usually are?

There have always been plenty of tables when I go, but my experience is limited.

I have to eat at Olivia's at least once per trip and while we have always made ADR's I have never seen anyone turned away but I guess it would depend on the time of year if you are going during the holidays or spring break or something like that it might be overcrowded.

We've never made ADR's for Olivia's since the Pooh breakfast (which was discontinued years ago). That said, we have gotten to Olivia's and had a line. A couple times we've been given a beeper and just walked around or shopped in the Conch Flats General Store for about 20 min. I don't think I've had to wait longer than 20 min or so. Try and get to Olivia's for a late lunch or early dinner for least chance of a line/wait. If you go during the height of the dinner hour you probably will have a bit of a wait (I think between 6 and 8 pm is busiest).

Read our trip report from this summer (link in my sig). We ate at Olivia's a few times while we were there, and with five of us, we tried quite a few items, so you should get a good bit of feedback for different items and from different perspectives with the varying ages.

We didn't have an ADR for Olivia's when we went this summer. It was usually fairly busy, but never so much that we had a very long wait. I think we waited about 15 minutes the first night, and pretty much seated right away the other times.

Thanks for the advice everyone. We don't mind waiting a few minutes. I didn't think it was every just booked completely. And we do normally eat at off times. I can't wait to go!! Thanks again.:goodvibes
