OKW refurb questions? Can we request a 2br. that has the sleeper chair?

I have called MS two times this week inquiring about availability in late Jan. and of course SSR and OKW are. We stayed at SSR this past summer so we want to stay at OKW again. We like it there. I know I have read on here that some of the buildings are done. Where are these buildings? Are any near the HH? Can we request a 2br. with the sleeper chair? When I asked MS they didn't know which buildings are done. We would like to ask for one that sleeps 9.

Just have them note a request for a renovated villa. That's what I did for our January trip. I'm hoping we get the sleeper chair too!

Sure you can request anything, now if you get it is another issue.

All the renovated units have a sleeper chair. We were in one the beginning of this month in building 38, so they've gotten at least that far with the renovations.

Bldg 38 is in the Turtle Pond area; that's our favorite area because of the quiet pool there. At this point, we think buildings 30-56, and buildings 11-14 have been renovated. Here is a link to a map of OKW:

Oh okay thanks. I wonder if any of the bldgs. close to HH are done? We are going to have our sons and another teen friend along so it would be nice to be close to HH. THANKS

I was there in October and had requested a refurbished room..When I checked in was given a NON-refurbished roomAnd they had no record of my request..We asked the CM if there was one available AND we were willing to wait for it to become available (incase the hold up was mousekeeping) He was able to switch it for us

BTW this was the 2nd time we have checked in to a DVC resort and according to the CM they have no record of any request! I wonder what's up with that?

I asked to have a renovated room request put on our reservation for our upcoming trip Nov 10th & the CM stated they would add it, but when I recently called about something else I inquired about it & the CM stated they couldn't add that request, because everyone wants a renovated room.

Maybe you will get one when you ask at check in. We would like a refurb because we want the sleeper chair. We have our 3 kids (dd20, 17ds and ds12) and are taking a 16 year old friend of my 17 year old son. It would be NICE that for each kid to have a place to sleep without sharing....considering their ages.

We also want the renovated room, because my DD16 & DS13 will not share the sleeper sofa. We usually bring an air mattress, but it would be much nicer to have the chair. Unfortunately we don't arrive till late on the 10th so I think our chances of having our request met is much slimmer. Good luck with your request!
