OKW question

Heading down next Thursday with 2 other couples, all staying at OKW. We have 3 studios booked. DH and I own at OKW, and when we go with the kids, usually stay in a 1 BR.

Anyway, please remind me about the OKW studio's. Are there toasters, or just microwaves? Are studios at OKW next to each other? I don't think so, but thought I would ask. You can tell I have not stayed in a studio here before after all these years, and this trip is the first for our friends going with us. They are very excited!!

I'm sure there are toasters in the studios. The studios at BWV and SSR definitely have toasters. And, no, as far as I am aware the studios are not next to each other. Studios are normally next to a 1-bedroom.

There are a few studios at OKW that are next to each other, but as the previous poster said, there are no connecting studios. All OKW studios have a connecting door to a one bedroom, to make a two bedroom lock-off.

I was surprised on our last visit that my guests and I had studios right next door to each other. It was in one of the U-shaped buildings, in the corner that forms the "U."

Yes, there are toasters in the studios.

Thanks. I didn't think they were next to each other, which is fine. I am hoping that since I made the ressie using our points, we will at least be in the same building. Is that realistic thinking, or not? I don't even remember asking about that when I maded the ressie. Uh-oh. Think I need to call? DVC or OKW itself?

I would call Member Services and ask them to make a note on your reservation, requesting that you are all in the same building (and preferably on the same floor, if that's what you would like).

All OKW studios have a connecting door to a one bedroom, to make a two bedroom lock-off.

Not all Two Bedrooms are a One Bedroom and a studio. Those are called a Two Bedroom Lockoff, other's are just a Two Bedroom. When we take friend's down, we specifically ask for a Two Bedroom LOCKOFF, so that they have their own keys and we can open the door and more importantly close the door between our rooms.

When we are just staying in a one bedroom for our stay, I specifically ask that it not be connected to a studio (with the locked door between us), as I find it to have a little less privacy.
