OKW Pool Rehab Dates?

I've seen this mentioned in a couple of threads, but I can't find exact dates for the OKW Pool Rehab/Slide construction. Does anyone know:

1) When will construction start?
2) When will the main pool be closed?
3) When will the slide be finished and the pool reopened?

There has been no completely official information of this. The last communication was verbally told to a few people, and it was for an October start date with a completion by the end of the year. I suspect the end of the year date is actually end of the winter.

I remember seeing information about the pool rehab in the DVC newsletter... so that's "official info", but I didn't remember seeing any dates other than "Coming Soon".

Thanks for the report of October... that's later than I had heard (I heard summer in other rumors).

I'm actually going in October, and I'm just a little concerned that the pool will be closed when we're there...

I thought I had read in either the Clubhouse or VM that construction would start in September with a goal of completing it by the end of the year. I think you will probably find the pool closed in October.

THat must have been what I saw too, Pam. I just remembered thinking that it would be closed for both of our remaining trips this year.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll plan that the pool will be closed and will plan accordingly. I love OKW so much that I'll probably still stay there (and just do some pool hopping), but it is something to think about.

The main pool will be closed, but Turtle Pond and miller's Road and South Point pools will still be open.
