OKW pool question

Hi all,

I am debating between OKW and VWL for our next stay. I have a question for you OKW experts -- what are the pools like throughout OKW? We have a small toddler who likes to play in the water, but the big pool near HH isn't a must for us since slides and such are too big for him just yet. Do any pools have zero entry or kiddie pools or something geared for the real young ones? Again, it doesn't have to be the main pool. In fact, I prefer to be away from there. What are the other pools like? Thanks!

There is a kiddy pool in the main pool area. The Turtle Pond pool doesn't have a slide but is more of a "main pool" area with a smaller crowd. There's a stand for drinks and snacks, arcade, play area for kids, shuffleboard. This is a very nice pool to kick back and relax The 2 (or 3?) other pools areas are basic pools with hot tubs. Of course, you may find yourself with a "private" pool at these areas.

No zero entry at any of the pools. I think all the pool areas also have hot tubs.

The only zero entry pools that I know of are at The Poly and the main pool at SSR.

I think only the Poly, AKL, and SSR are the only Disney resorts with zero entry pools. OKW has a main pool as well as a kiddie pool near the main pool area. There is also a giant sand play area there, that a 2-3 year old would love! There are 3 additional pools at OKW. The Turtle Pond one Pam told you about is a bit larger than the other two. Miller's Road and South Point pools are smaller back yard variety pools, but each of them has a play area as well as a hot tub, and the Miller's Road pool has a handicapped entrance block as well.

AK also has a zero entry pool. But I don't know of any quiet pool areas that do.

Sorry, I've never been to AKL

OKW has a kiddie pool near the main pool in the Hospitality House area. Have not stayed in other areas of OKW. It was not used much when we were there.

VWL has their own pool and hot tub. To go to the kiddie pool, it is in the main pool are of the Lodge. This area also has a pool with a slide. As 2 adults visiting the lodge, we prefer the pool near the villas - much quieter.
