We going to Disney the 1st week in July. We staying at an okw 1 bedroom villa with my dh, dd 6 , ds 4, and mother. After reading the great threads on these boards I decided to try a split stay. We will be going to OKW for 5 days and Polynesian w/lagoon view for 5 days. It's our first split stay.

Here are my questions...

How are the rooms at the Polynesian for a family of 5?

Will it be tight?
Is there enough closet space?
I thought about requesting the Somoa building, since the renovations should be done by then.
Would that be a nice building to request?
Did the Somoa building change, is it now the Tuvalu building?

Thanks for your help!! Any other advice will be helpful!!:)

The Poly is our favorite resort and we love everything about it :goodvibes. We are a family of 4, but I think the rooms are plenty big for 5 people. The rooms are very spacious (IMO) and all rooms come with a daybed, so there are plenty of beds. I thought the closet/storage space was great. We stayed in Samoa and loved it as it's very convenient to everything, so I think that's a great longhouse to request. It's just steps from the GCH, the volcano pool, the beach, and Captain Cooks ;).

I've slept on the daybed and it is fine for adults. :) I would guess it is close to twin bed size.

The Poly has the largest rooms in WDW. You might miss the space and the kitchen at OKW. But the monorail access will be really nice. :)

Thank you for the responses! I just changed my reservations to the club level at Polynesian!! YAY!!! I looked online and it was only $25.00 a day more!! I can't believe it!!:yay: Now I know the building is remodeled too!!! :) I'm excited!!!

The only thing I worry about now is my daughter is highly allergic to peanuts & I have a feeling the conceire lodge serves a lot of things with peanuts/peanut oil. :( I'll have to research that more...
