OKW Palm Tree Question

I know this question is kind of strange...

Does anyone know what species of palm tree are planted/grow at OKW, specifically those that are near the balony area of the rooms?

I only ask because I brought home and planted a few seeds from a palm near our balcony in Dec 2004. The seeds were inside of small, round black fruit that grew in bunches from the tree.

I'm not sure, I can't remember at OKW, but we live in an area with lots of palm trees, too. Could those be Coccus Plumosa (not sure of the spelling) or date palms?

They are Date Palms I believe.

Yes, surprisingly, they did! I planted several of them after we returned from our trip in Dec 04 and now I have 3 seedlings with 2 leaves each.
