Exactly what I've said all along. If you have issues, report them at the time of the incident, perhaps follow up with a letter. That is basically all that is possible.

I agree with this totally. As Chuck aslo suggested you can sell, exactly what I did with a majority of my points.

Many including WebmasterDOC keep thinking I sold out of fear of rental enforcement. I sold because I was lied to and I saw a decline in standards at WDW, restaurants and DVC Resorts. I complained every step of the way. When it reached the point were I felt noboby was listening and that changes were not coming anytime soon I sold 1100 points. That leaves me with a piddly 350. Those 350 will likely be gone soon enough if changes don't occur.

I'm not holding my breath for those changes either.

I've been swayed by Bicker and others views. The masses don't seem to notice or care about the changes. They seem content to rejoice in the money saving plans WDW keeps rolling out.

Well i'm glad you noticed that standards are slipping ( not that i'm glad they are - if you no what i mean )

I suppose its a bit like supporting a football team, you don't just give up on them because they've had one poor season. You keep supporting the team and if things don't change you get rid of the coach :thumbsup2

That sounds right, but if giving up the "coach" means taking OKW out of DVC, then it looks to me like you are cutting off your nose to spite your face. What will you have in the end? A stand alone timeshare that happens to be on Disney property. Maybe you can sell it to Fairfield.

No this doesn't mean taking OKW out of DVC, its means replacing the GM with someone who is prepared to sort the problems out :confused3

Is the GM a direct employee of DVC? I don't think so. I am guessing, but I think front desk staff and managers are employees of the general Disney Resort division umbrella, we are simply billed through our dues for their wages. Sort of like those companies that manage and do payroll for other businesses.

The one thing i noticed at OKW this past trip was the housekeeper showing up with towels on T&T day at 8:30am , handing them to me when I said some of the group was still sleeping and asking me to sign her sheet. I thought they would at least come back later and get the dirty ones and do whatever else they do but they didn't. We had this happen on both Wed and Thurs. -I declined the towels on the second day - Now I wish I had spoken to the front desk before I left as I don't think this system is working out very well. At SSR I forgot and left the privacy please thing on the door so did not get T&T at all. The stuff was outside the door when we left in the morning and gone when we returned in the evening. My fault entirely since I left theat thing on the door. At least they had all the stuff by the door. The person at OKW just showed up with everything in her arms rather than in the baskets. I will defintely mention my feelings about this if I get one of the survey cards. Everything else was great.

Voted no. What I have noticed is a graceful aging of the resort. The refurbishment rotations then interject a mixed set of conditions -- from just redone all the way to next on the list. Neither of these represent what I consider slipping standards.

Certainly there have been changes that I have not agreed with throughout Disney. But I have not noticed in WDW the problems that plagued DL a while back.

As others have said, OKW and WDW bring plenty of pleasure and value to our vacation time.
