OKW or SSR

Hi guys, I have SSR booked and my 10 yr old DS is wanting OKW, so which one should I pick?

We like OKW much more than SSR simply because of the feel (vibe) of the resort. OKW feels very warm and friendly to us, SSR feels rather cold. We are DVC members and have stayed at Jambo House, Kidani, SSR, BLT, BWV, and OKW. For the past few years, we have chosen either Kidani or OKW even though there has been availability at other Dvc properties. Have you stayed at SSR before? If yes, you might want to give OKW a shot just for comparison sake...

No we have never stayed there, we are new DVC members and Kidani Village is the only resort we have stayed at so far....

I realized that one of the reasons I am so fond of OKW is because the buses play Jimmy Buffet music! Maybe I'm just easy??

Seriously, we like it so much that we have contemplated adding on there.

We've stayed at both and will pick OKW every time. The units are larger and they are more spread out so there isn't as much noise from people walking around the resort.

We have done both and while I like the decor at SSR better, I agree that OKW has a fantastic vibe. It's very relaxing, the rooms are large, and the pool is great. My DS9 declared the slide better than the pirate slide at BC because he said it was faster!

SSR has never been anything special to me. We LOVE OKW. Beautiful resort, fabulously themed. The units are the largest in the DVC. I'd pick OKW over SSR anytime!

We love OKW. It's just very "Florida" to us. I'm not a fan of the SSR theme (probably because of where I live). Same for Wilderness Lodge. OKW is just a very pretty and relaxing resort, and the units are so big. Love it there.
