OKW or SSR with Children

We just had twins and when we travel in March they will be 8 months old. We also have a 6 year old son as well.

We have been to OKW and loved it but wonder if anyone has done it with small children.

I am a bit worried about the stairs if we do not get a ground floor unit and wonder if anyone has any advice on SSR or OKW??

We booked a one bedroom at OKW because all that was available was OKW and SSR. We have requested two cribs and two highchairs.

Thanks for any advice. We know this won't be the most relaxing holiday but we really, really need to get away and our 6 year old has been so patient that we would love to take him to Disney.

Both are good, but OKW is larger. I would stick with that one.

I belive all the SSR buildings have an elevator. That may be a helpful with your arms full of babies!

I say SSR because of the zero-entry pool. The babies, assuming they can sit up, can sit right there in 2" of water (with you right there, of course) and splash their little hearts out! Great slide for the 6 yo, too--just right for that age!

We just got back from SSR and we were on the third floor and the elevator was a big help. We traveled with a 7yo, 5yo and 22mo old. I loved the pool for the zero entry and my older kids loved the little slide. Good luck and have a great trip

Another vote for the infant and toddler-friendly pool at SSR. You can also choose to sit-down and eat your CS meals inside at SSR (and there are big pieces of paper on easels and crayons! at the tables for the kids so you can actually eat) - which is a plus with wee little ones.

The upside to OKW is that you'll have more space for the two high-chairs and cribs. I think it comes down to how much time you'll be in your room during the day and how much the additional space will mean to you. We live in our "dream" home of restored 1920's bungalow, so obviously space is not really a big selling point for me - but I know it matters greatly to a lot of people and if it matters to you, that's a serious consideration.

we stayed at SSR this past October with 4 little ones (ages 4, 6, 7 and 7).
We stayed in the Springs section and we were close to everything:
the main swimming pool, the restaurant, the spa, the cafeteria, gift shop, arcade, community hall and bus stop - everything was literally a 5 minute walk or less. I mean we were just across the street from everything.

As others have mentioned, the swimmimg pool is a big plus for the little ones.
I have never been to OKW but I can say that SSR is a very nice and if you go, I would recommend asking for the Springs area - basically you want to ask for the area closest to the check in hall/main swimming pool/cafeteria, etc.

And finally, we found the 2BR to be plenty roomy for the 6 of us.
