DH may attend a seminar located at the Wyndham Palace. No need for us to spend the $189/night they're asking since we are DVCers. We will have a car and he may bring his bike, so transportation to the conference is not really an issue.

Which would you recommend: OKW or SSR?

For bike riding or walking, SSR is a bit closer. Either one would be great, though! :D

Both are really close to the Wyndham Palace. Since you have a car it does not matter. With a bike it really doesn't matter that much either. Take your pick! We had a question like this a few months ago. Wyndham Palace must be the place to have seminars?

Wyndham Palace REALLY is the place to have seminars. We booked a 10 day stay there once as part of a package deal through Virgin (UK tour operator) After 2 days we left and paid up to stay at The Beach Club!!!!! It is advertised as a family vacation hotel too so we thought it would be great and cheaper than our usual on site favourites. Never again! Nice place but very few women around (lots of business men drinking and talking in the bar and public areas) and we felt really silly in our WDW tshirts when everyone else was in business attire. It really did not feel like we were at WDW.

Now we have DVC we dont have to worry about such things!!!

would it happen to be the CRNA CE's workshops? It is from 11-29-12-4? We are staying at SSR while at that conf. It might be good to find several of us and car pool to the Wyndam and leave the cars for the families.

Either one would work. If you get off at the Marketplace bus stop (or boat stop) it would just be a short walk. (Just use caution crossing the main road.)

We stayed at the Wyndham one night pre-DVC. The rooms were OK. Nothing special. The gal at the desk gave us a nice one with a view of the fireworks.

The pool is GROSS though. I've never seen so much hair and oil floating in a pool before. There doesn't seem to be any kind of built in skimmer system. The hot tub had tons of suds floating on top of it...not sure what was in there that caused it to suds up...kind of scary.

You will be much happier at the clean and shiny, brank-spanking new High Rock Springs pool!

Either would probably be fine, but I'd probably look into SSR first, just because it's new.

Not to throw a monkey wrench into this but BWV and BCV would also only be about a 10 minute drive. He couldn't ride his bike on the busy highway but it would also be possible to take the bus to the Marketplace (this would make the trip more like 30 minutes).
