OKW or SS?

I'm hopeful that later dates in September will be offered the same upgrade as late August.

In the event I have to make a decision on the fly, help me decide between the two resorts. Traveling will be myself (27f) my Mom (59f) and my daughter (2f).

Please keep in mind that I love OKW. My family stays there on every trip and that is where we bought our DVC points. OKW is a beautiful resort, quiet and relaxing. The rooms are the largest of the DVC resorts.

However, that being said, the studios at OKW are more like a regular hotel room, with all of them having 2 queen beds. Due to the size/ages of your party, you would probably be more comfortable in a studio at SSR. The studios there have one queen bed and a fold out sofa. Both places would have a pack-n-play for your little one. From what I have read on various DVC threads, the sofa beds at SSR are very comfortable.

This advice applies to a studio upgrade only. If you were fortunate enough to be offered a 1BR unit, I think you would enjoy the extra space at OKW more.

We were very disappointed with SSR last year. Perhaps because we have been to OKW before and were expecting a similar room and atmosphere. Overall OKW is such a beautiful and peaceful resort. SSR seemed congested and it was still under construction. Also, we love Olivia's the restaurant at OKW. At SSR we didn't enjoy the lunch options and the market store was very small and limited. So my preference would be OKW. Good luck with your decision.
