OKW or BWV or WLV??? help me decide

Can't decide between the three...boys are 9 & 6 (youngest 2 staying with Grama!) so pool will be a big factor!!! Also closeness to MK as I imagine that's where we'll be the most. Do either have a zero entry or shallow kids pool?


Any advice? Even as far as to what building/room #? We'll want to be close to pool and transportation.

None of them have a zero entry pool - you can pool hop to resorts that do have zero entry such as the GF

They all have kids pools and or play areas - OKW pool is great with the kids small pool and the sandcastle area, VWL has a small kids pool in the main WL pool area and BWV has a small kids pool as well along with some Elephant sprayers

With ages 6&9 though and possibly a life jacket for the 6 yr old (not sure how good they are at swimming), the main pools should be ok for them and your nerves as well

Going to the MK on the boat from WL is pretty cool for kids - the WL boat launch is a bit of a hike from the villas

Do you have a car or are you using Disney Transport?

OKW is very relaxed and laid back and actually seems to have the most reliable transport from a bus perspective of all the DVC resorts

BWV is centrally located - the boardwalk, access to Epcot and MGM, a great pool slide etc.

Have you considered BCV - has the best pool and a zero entry area as well...?

I'll second jaysue...if a pool is a "big factor", you can't go wrong with SAB. The boys are old enough to enjoy all that SAB has to offer without you worrying about them too much!

BWV has a great pool too....okay, it has a very nice pool with a great slide!!

VWL is closest to MK, and I can't imagine a young boy not loving WL!!!

OKW...well, if the pool (and slide) are critical, then this might not be for you unless you're planning this trip for next year some time. They're building a slide on the main pool this fall.

If being close to the MK is your number one priority then go with the VWL. If being close to the theme parks is important, the BWV is within walking distance of MGM and EPCOT. No transportation is necessary for those parks.

The 2 things you mentioned in your post was the pool being important and also being close to MK as a preference. First I would decide which is more important to you. If the pool is your first priority then BCV can not be beat. If closeness to MK is your first priority then VWL is the winner.
