Mt wife and I are staying at OKW in May for our 10th anniversary.....Have stayed in Disney often but we have never stayed there and were wondering if there are any tips we really "should" know about resort.....Thanks in advance for any help.......

OKW is a great place and you can park right in front of your condo. You didn't mention what accomodations you are staying in. If you are in a 1-2 bedroom you will have a washer and dryer which means you don't have to pack as much and clean towels daily if you wash. A studio is very large and has a mini kitchen which is nice for breakfast and late night snacks. The resort is very large and has several pools, all heated. We are staying there May 8-10 in a GV and then off to VB. We love OKW because it is not a hotel room, more like a resort area. I know you will have a great time. If you have any specific questions just ask. If I can't answer them, I am sure someone can.

o ne thing I forgot to ask does anyone have pics of quiet pool area or main pool area other than pics seen on most disney websites?

You will really enjoy staying in a one-or-two bedroom. Lot's of room and the ability to cook right in your room.

Also these rooms have a jacuzzi for the 10th anniversary celebration. :love2:

Make a date to "hang out" near Hospitality House one evening. Have a meal at Olivia's, then check out the goodies at Goods and get a Mickey Head Bar for dessert. We always do this and then sit down by the main pool and boat docks -- it is fun at night. The area is lit with little white lights and has a nice atmosphere.

Don't forget to walk around a bit or rent a bike and ride. The grounds are gorgeous and the landscaping at each building is unique. Try out the pool at Turtle Pond Road- they have a snack bar that makes great pina coladas and strawberry smoothies.

We love OKW!

We have to rent the extra long van and wondered if it can be parked right by the condo? We have only been to FW cabins and I think it is too long for that area. Thanks

I think you'll just have to pick your parking spot carefully. Some are close to the bus turnarounds. I recall a man posting here some time back, I think it was about his Mom's "boat" of a car, that they had to carefully pick a spot but they could park.
