OKW January Last-Minute Booking...Is there usually ample room?

We are thinking of going to WDW in January. However, I won't know if I can get the vacation days until early-mid December. We will need a one-bedroom, and prefer OKW, but will stay about anywhere!

Anyone have experience with last-minute booking in January? I know the parks are dead at that time, but DVC availability doesn't always coincide with the rest of the World. Any help would be appreciated!

Don't know too much about January - sorry - but we made our OKW reservations less than 3 weeks before our trip and had no problem. Also - we had to move them around, and add a 2nd bedroom for 3 nights - once again - no problem. If you get a nice MS person when you call - they'll actually tell you how many they have left for those dates (I guess they really aren't supposed to!). I doubt it'll be too hard to get!

You'll probably be OK unless you want/need the WDW Marathon weekend or MLK weekend. Believe I read that those dates are pretty much booked.
