OKW Increase on 7/15 (6/24 for new members)?

I just emailed my guide this morning about adding on direct at OKW or Riviera. He let me know that he was informed yesterday about OKW increasing on July 15th.

Has anyone else heard this?

Edited to add: I was not told what the new price would be.

I’m also thinking $15 for OKW. I am surprised it wasn’t a minimal notice occurrence like SSR.

Moving forward I would expect OKW to be the cheapest. They want it to the be the "SAP" direct purchase option. The goal there would be to flip as many contracts to 2057 as possible.

I could be wrong but that is my guess.

Mine said Thursday 6/24 as well. Maybe it will go up again on 7/15 to match SSR.

I just purchased 150 direct as an add-on on Tuesday. The guide stated that the increase was effective on 6/24, didn't mention anything about 7/15. He told me this after I already committed to buy. Not sure if it's actually 6/24 or 7/15 for current members, but this is what I was told. Either way, I'm excited to have more points and my blue card.

We also added on at OKW Tuesday. In that conversation, our guide said increase on 6/24 for new members and 7/15 for existing members. But who knows if they changed their mind since he and I spoke Tuesday evening? Nothing would surprise me at this point!

Touched base with our guide and he said existing members should get $165 until 7/14 but it will move to $170 on 7/15. I didn’t think to ask if they would have a 14 day waitlist like they did for SSR. My guess is probably not since there was advanced notice of the OKW price change.

I was just on the dvc site this morning looking at their direct prices...they must be smoking weed! RIV new member financed and counting in Maintenance fees are almost 500.00/ month/10 years. That is crazy! I know you shouldn't finance dvc but many do. That is some serious cash. I could be wrong but not sure how they can sustain this.

Do many people finance their DVC purchase? I would be curious to know the percentage of people who finance versus the percentage of people who do not.
