We are planning to do MNSSHP on 10/26 and were hoping to hang out at OKW the night of Halloween for the activities they have planned. I called them today to ask for sure if something would be going on Halloween night, and the rep actually laughed at me, saying that they won't know until a few days before.

As much as I love Disney, the one thing I hate is the lack of info (almost secrecy at times). Every publication you read tells you to book in advance, plan in advance, etc. yet they wait until "a few days out" to plan resort activities?

I have to book the room 11 months before, meals 4 months before, Hoopdee Doo a year before, yet they can't even commit to whether or not there will be ANYTHING going on at the resort? I didn't want intricate details, just a yes or a no, so that maybe we'd do MNSSHP on the 31st instead if nothing was going on at the resort.

I haven't been there at Halloween for 4 years. I remember then they had a party/spooky house thing going on by Hank's in the evening.

Does anyone have any info on whether or not they'll be doing something this year? Or did anyone stay there last year and remember what went on?

We were there last year and they did have some games and treats for the kids just outside the community hall nest to Hank's. They were also playing some movies for the kids in the hall. The kids were all having a great time and it was fun to watch the little ones in their costumes.

We were there 3 years ago and they closed community hall in the late AM and transformed it into a haunted house for the kids. It was amazing what they did in a short while. They also did games and prizes and treats. We did go on to Boardwalk that night and it was a real party. Boardwalk went all out with a high party parade, decorations, pumpkin painting, Mickey him self, trick or treating and more. OKW was nice but Boardwalk outdid themselves.

I belive OKW does not comment of Halloween festivities because of weather. We've been there in the past, and they have had parades, treats, characters, etc. We were also there at the threat of a hurricane and it was grossly scaled down.

Thanks to those who responded. I did hear from MS and they said that there definitely will be something going on that night, be it in Community Hall or whatever. I would have preferred something more specific, but as long as I'm sure something will be going on, I feel better about booking MNSSHP for the 26th instead of the 31st.
