OKW GV location questions

Our 1st GV is just 6 weeks away. I was going over the resort map thinking of which villa I would prefer ( I really like to watch the golf while I have my coffee) and came up with some questions that I just knew you all could answer. (Please incl room #'s)

1. Building 16: We have stayed in a 2 bdrm in building 16 and loved the view of the green. How good are the views from the GV's?

2. Building 15: From this building do you see the Tee or Green or Both?

3. Building 63: Same questions as bld 15 also what's the traffic noise like?

4. Buildings 51 & 53: How far off the coarse are you and what can you see?

5. Buildings 29, 48, and 49: Can you see any golf?

6. Buildings 22 & 48: What shots can you see?

I know I am going to get what ever they give me, but its nice to know what your getting before you leave the front desk.

1. Building 16: We have stayed in a 2 bdrm in building 16 and loved the view of the green. How good are the views from the GV's?

Never stayed here

2. Building 15: From this building do you see the Tee or Green or Both?

This is one of two buildings that if I was given a choice, I wouldn't pick. It was great, close, beautiful and everything, its drawback was the proximity of the main road. When you were out on the balcony, it could be a bit loud.

I have stayed in nine different OKW GVs, there are only two that I would prefer not staying in again, no biggie, but if given the choice, a would not chose Bldg 15 or 52

3. Building 63: Same questions as bld 15 also what's the traffic noise like?

Never stayed in 63, but look at how far it is from the main road compared to 15, that little road nearby is no big deal, I am sure. I would try this one.

4. Buildings 51 & 53: How far off the coarse are you and what can you see?

Wait!!!!, is there no GV in 52????

If not, it must have been 51 that just didn't really have enough parking, it was a while back and I know it was just to the right at the end and I also know that there just wasn't enough parking.


5. Buildings 29, 48, and 49: Can you see any golf?

The bad part is that I am not sure if you are only including buildings with GVs. I think we were in 26 and thought that this was the best of all locations. Real quick and easy in, real close to HH and GREAT golf views. We were here for some televised event one year and saw lots of famous people...not a golf fan, sa I really don't even remember who.


6. Buildings 22 & 48: What shots can you see?

On the map it appears that both these buildings are on the tee


I know I am going to get what ever they give me, but its nice to know what your getting before you leave the front desk.

We stayed in Bldg 63 in July. We didn't notice any noise from the road and enjoyed the view of the green (and watching how many golfers teed off into the water!). This is a building that has an elevator and the GV is HCA. Counters in the kitchen are a little lower, no garbage disposal (this was my biggest gripe, which really isn't all that big). The master bath has a roll in shower, no vanity space and the closet has a lower shelf. We did not have any problems with water on the floor as we have in some other HCA units. We enjoyed the villa and would stay there again.

In June we stayed in a GV in building 48. You can see the golfers tee off and play their first fairway shot from the porch. I don't recall seeing them play the green from there. We enjoyed this location. We have also stayed in a GV in building 49. I don't remember any golf course view from that villa. We did see a shuttle launch one night from the stairway landing. In neither villa was road noise a problem when we were on the porch. If you look at the OKW map you can see how close you are in building 49 to the intersection of Buena Vista Drive and Bonnet Creek Parkway. We liked both of these GVs and their location.

We stayed in a GV in building 53 and couldn't see any golf at all . We could see some of the green, but not enough of it to actually see any play.
