We are planning a trip in October and are currently booked at the BWVs in two two-bedroom villas. This will sleep us all but it will put us apart from each other. We were looking at the different Grand Villas at the different resorts and we noticed that OKW is by far the move "Point-effective" reservation. I am interested in the reasons why. I understand that all the villas are lower point value as it is the most "mature" of the resorts but the Grand Villas seem proportionally lower. I am simply curious.

They simply learned they could charge more so they did. You'll also notice a larger weekend to weekday difference for OKW that the other WDW resorts most seasons.

In addition, OKW is the only DVC resort to have had a reallocation of it's point chart.

Beginning in 1996, the points needed for the various villa types was changed from the original. Some nights went up a few points and some went down.

For the most part the GVs went up.

Points listed are for Studio, 1BR, 2BR, GV (weekday/weekend) respectively from 1991 thru 1995:

Adventure Season: 7/17 , 14/35 , 19/47 , 31/77

Choice Season: 8/21 , 17/42 , 23/57 , 37/92

Dream Season: 10/25 , 20/50 , 27/67 , 45/112

Premier Season: 15/38 , 31/77 , 42/105 , 68/170

1996 - present point needs:
