OKW Grand Villa question

My family is going to Dis word a few days before a cruise in December. There will be three families, mine with 2 adults, 2 children. Another family with 2 adults, 4 children and another with 2 more adults. Is the grand villa really big enough for all of us or would be better off getting 2- 2-bedrooms? What is the size of the grand villa? Thanks for all the info.

GVs are all 2300+ sq. ft and will have 3 BRs - one with a King Bed and the other two with either 2 queens or 2 doubles. The living will have a queen sleep sofa (and some will also have a sleeper chair).

As long as the families are prepared for having some sleeping in the living room, GVs are tecnically large enough for your group, but some may find that a bit much and would prefer two 2BR villas.

The GVs are wonderful, but sometimes sleeping arrangements will dictate the comfort level for all except those who get the Master BR.

Doc is right, but since you are there for just a few nights, I think you would be fine. Maybe give the couple without kids the master and divide the kids up between the other two bedrooms and the living room.

Our last GV trip 3 weeks ago we had 8 people (4 couples). One couple opted for the living room because they were extra early risers (and they loved their little private bath in the hallway). The two young couples decided amongst themselves which bedroom each would get upstairs. We had NO issues the whole trip, and we were there for a week.

Sounds like you should be fine. If you are all good friends and the kids don't mind sleeping together it should work. That's a good idea to put the childless couple in the master to give you the chance to have your kids in the other bed in your room. If the kids are older, they would probably like to sleep out in the living room. Their ages will make a big difference.

There will be 14 of us having meals and hanging out in a GV next week. We've had large groups in there and it's great. (We have 2 studios for extra sleeping.)

Thank you. You guys have given me a lot to think about and now very much time to do it. As of now, I am leaning toward the 2-bedrooms just so everyone has their privacy.

I'd definitely prefer the 2 two bedrooms. Fewer points and more privacy.
