okw grand villa experiences

I have friends staying in a Old Key west grand villa.
I have never stayed in one.
I would appreciate it greatly, if those of you who have stayed in a
OKW Grand villa, would post, on what your experiences were and why they are so wonderful

2375 square feet to start with. They have 3 bedrooms all with their own bath. The living room area and the dining area is wonderful. Plenty of room for everyone. The porch is right off the living room. I don't remember this personally but I am told there is another bath off the living room area, I really do not remember that. There is a large table to eat off of if you eat in the units, the kitchen is large also. I had 6 people staying there when we rented, two in the master bedroom, 3 in the bedroom with the queens, and one in the other bedroom. Everyone had their own room and bath. Two bedrooms are upstairs, the master is down stairs. After that everything else in the way of supplies is similar to the one or two bedrooms.

DD booked one grand villa (and 6 other rooms) for her Wedding - the single members of the wedding party stayed in the villa, and the parents and families with children stayed in the other rooms. It was beautiful and provided a great deal of room for a party with everyone at the wedding (32 people) a day or so later!!!! When DD has her baby in February we are thinking about booking another grand villa for the following year so all the grandparents, aunties and uncles, etc., can be there for his/her first trip to Disney!!!!!

We stayed in a grand villa in 1996. We were traveling with our son, my in-laws (MIL, FIL, BIL), my parents and my husband's cousin and his wife. The grand villa is bigger than my in-laws house, so we had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It was the first Disney trip for my parents & DH's cousin and they were beyond impressed.

We used the kitchen just about every day for breakfast and occasionally for dinner. It was nice to have the dining room, and the laundry room was great, better than the closet you get in the newer units. OKW just feels like a country club to me, and staying in the grand villa just made us feel really special!

we have had a GV three times.One time I had my parents(my wife"s and mine) and kids in there. The second was the same as the first and the last time I had my two kids and three of there friends. The room you have with all the people is great. Plus it is set up perfectly, with two rooms upstairs , the master BD down stairs. It's just wonderful.
