OKW Experts Needed!

On our last trip to WDW in Dec. we rented a pontoon from POR and took a ride past OKW. As we were on the Sassagoula and turned toward OKW there were 2 bldg.'s right there along the water, these were the 1st Bldg.'s we seen as we rounded the bend. Does anyone know what Bldg.'s these might have been? Also, are these Bldg.'s far away from everything at this resort. The reason I ask is b/c I would like to request a certain area and this particular area (from our boat view) looked really quiet and cozy. I don't want to be too far away from it all as we will have our 2 y.o. GD with us but I'd rather not have a parking lot view. I really like the water view. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I might request? Can DVC members request certain rooms even if it's not their home resort? Thanks!

I'm not an expert, though I have stayed there once and loved it.

These bldgs. may have been 55, 45 or 46. They are the furtherest out and have those great water views. Were some of the balconies decorated? We
were there in Dec. also. These are quite far from the HH and main pool but
there is an internal bus that can bring you from the outskirts "in".

you can ask for a water, golf or woods view. you can also ask to near the HH, bus stop or quiet pool.

if you stay in 45 - remember the fan. there was outside noise - the buses (this is a small hill). the first time I stayed here it was horrible. but the next time the fan was working and it provides white noise.

I didn't notice the decorations at the time. I was admiring how pretty the bldg.'s theming was though. Are there any other water view bldg.'s closer to HH or quiet pools and buses that you might suggest? If not I'll just take my chance and I'm sure I'll love whatever I get. Thanks

14, 18, 39, 41, 40 - have nice water views in some of the villa

55 is probably still the best! 45 & 46, as well as 55 - are nice to see the boat passing.

14 or 18 is not too far from HH.

23 or 26 as long as it is on the water side - would be nice too.

We took the ferry several times over Christmas/NYE and I think building #46 had some really cute decorations up. I remember a inflateable snowman and a few other items there. It was quite cute ! I think it was on a second or third floor balcony facing the waterway. Wish I had taken some pictures.
