Just 5 short days till we arrive at OKW. We have 3 - 2 bedroom units reserved (party of 20).

We rented points to stay there so I know we will only get a "trash and tidy" on/after the 4th day. So my question is, do they leave enough bath soap to last those 4 days or should I put that on my Wal Mart shopping list? Also, are there many hangers in the closets?

Thanks.

sandsand,

Usually housekeeping , if you see them close by, will give you a few extra bars of soap if you ask.On the hanger question, I seem to recall there are about 6-10 hangars in the closet.;) Have a "great time"!!!!!:D

P.S. WELCOME to the DIS!!!!!!!!

We always throw in some extra soap, one for the kitchen sink and one for the extra bathroom sink (although this time they did provide soap for this one).

They never seem to have enough hangers, so when I pack I also pack the hangers. With shorts, I just leave them on when I put them in the suitcase and just hang them when I get there.

You'll have a bar of hand/facial soap and a bar of bath soap for each bathroom. We never have enough hangers either, so we always stick 6 or so extra hangers in our suitcase.
You will have soap for washing dishes by hand and the dishwasher, but as someone else mentioned, if you want other soap for the kitchen, you will need to bring it.

There is no probem getting extra hangars from housekeeping.

Just give them a call and tell them how many additional hangars you need.

Also, remember to pack VERY light when it comes to clothes. We LOVE the washer dryer in the unit and end up packing a couple changes of undies, a couple pairs of shorts and tops and wash once every other day. works out great!

I know you will love OKW. We just back and it was great. They do have hangers, but never enough for us. I usually have room to pack some, but you could always buy some from Walmart for just a few dollars. It is really nice to have the washer and can save a lot of room with packing. I always bring my soap. I like the kind I use better than theirs. Theirs will not last 4 days if everyone is bathing a lot with the heat.

Hangers? Well there goes my 2-pile theory. I thought everyone had 2 piles of clothes on the floor. One clean, one dirty. DARN!, I almost had my wife convinced!:D

LOL, Maistre Gracey!!! Two piles!!!

When we drive, I always take 2 laundry baskets - one for whites, one for darks. The room stays a LOT less cluttered when there's a place for the dirty clothes and laundry's a breeze when people sort as they go!

We bring some of our own soap from home. We usually open one bar of Mickey soa. I take the Mickey soap home & donate it to a homeless shelter.

I didn't realize so many other DVC members bring their own hangers! I have been bringing extras since we had a friend stay with us - we drove, the friend flew, so it was easier for us to bring hangers.

It is very easy to do laundry in a one or two bedroom unit. We usually throw our dirty clothes in the washer at night before we go to sleep. In the morning we throw it in the dryer & get it out before we leave. Works well for us!

Have fun!
