OKW construction?

Are they doing construction at OKW right now? I'll be there on saturday and want to be prepared if there is. thanks!

When we left thereon the 10th, they were working on rehabing some building interiors...that would not have any major affect on a vaction.

BUT they are also working on the bus stop area at Hospitality House, that will be finished sometime in July, and they had the resort exit closed for some major road work, traffic was routed out the "back way" through the maintenance drive on Miller's Road. The regular entrance at the guard gate was open. This traffic plan is normal for OKW whenthey are doing any road work in that area.

Really, though, none of it should severely impact a vacation.

WHen we left on the 10th, they were finishing up the buildings nar the Turtle Pond pool and were starting 45 & 46, so South Point is next.

Thanks for the info! I was actually going to request 45 or 46! I usually stay there when I go w/my family. Any recommendations for a building (not that I'll get it... but I can try) that doesn't get too much noise from buses or golf carts?

Honestly, I've never heard golf cart noise, but have occasionally been in a unit when a golf ball has hit a the side of a building or window.

Some of my favorite buildings are 30 to 33, near the Turtle Pond bus stop, there is a little bus noise, but not too bad. The worst bus noise we've ever had was in bldg 44, it just seemed to echo between bldgs 44 and 35, very loudly. 55 is also a great building with a view similar to 45 and 46, but it may be down for rehab soon.

We just left today- this morning the front exit was reopened. They were still working on buildings 45 and 46 with furnishings (at least that is where the trucks were parked). We stayed in building 48 and didn't notice much bus or cart noise.

We stayed in Building 40 (studio) and also left today. They renovated everything but the bathrooms. I do believe they did paint the bathrooms but the tub, counter were not refinished or replaced (ours looks well used). We look forward to returning in early Dec. with hopes of staying in a refurbed 2 bedroom.
