OKW check-in ??

Hi, We have stayed mostly st BCV in the past couple of years and when we check-in they show us a map of what rooms are available or will be available and tell us to pick. This summer we are planning on staying at OKW. Do they do the same or are their rooms pre-assigned?? I ask this because of something I read in another post. Thanks, Joan

It depends, if there are several rooms available they often show me the general location and let me pick (no actual room numbers are given until the room is ready for occupancy). If the resort is fully booked, they are pretty much pre-assigned.

I've never been given the luxury of "picking" at OKW, but then I always have a "non-smoking for medical reasons" on my ressie, and they require that the unit be checked by a housekeeping lead before it is released. They usually tell me the building number though, so I can park in the right parking lot!

Last time we checked in there they where putting us in a rm ready in a building I did not want, asked for building 14 had to wait untill later but got in there.

We stayed at OKW last July. We checked in around 9am and had a choice of 3 villas that were available. Our only request was non-smoking.

Compare that with our experience: last August we checked in at 7.20am and finally got to our room at 4.50pm. I called the number they gave me from 3pm (yes- I know check-in is 4) and it just was not ready. When we got to the room at 4.50pm I called the front desk to ask why the delay and they said that they did not know, as the accommodation had been ready at 11am but no one had updated the system!!!
