OKW & BWV 1 bdrm. questions

We are thinking of getting a 1 bedroom at either OKW or BWV next summer. We are traveling with my 14 year old son and his friend. Both resorts talk about a master bathroom in the 1 bedroom villas. Do the bathrooms only have access through the master bedroom or is there another door? It might get awkward if the boys had to come into our room every time they want to use the bathroom.

OKW seems to have much larger rooms; has anyone stayed at both to be able to give me a comparison?

At OKW, buildings 11 to 30 only have access to the bathroom through the master bedroom. Buildings 31 and above have an additional entrance through the laundry room. All BWV 1 bedrooms have 2 bathroom entrances.

OKW's 1 bedroom is much larger. The washer/dryer is in it's own little room, at BWV they are stacked in a closet. OKW has a queen sleeper in the living room plus a loveseat. BWV just has the queen sleeper. The OKW kitchen is more spreadout than BWV. The advantage to BWV is it's location within walking distance of both Epcot & MGM.

The building can only be requested, not guaranteed. This is the number one reason we were never interested at all in OKW.

I've stayed at the BW in a one bedroom. The boys will have to share the sleeper sofa . After seeing the set up I decided with my family of 4 we will book a two bedroom next time. You would be more comfortable in a two bedroom - more expensive but if you rent points from a DVC owner, not too bad. .
