Okw Bus Question

Anyone know how early the buses from OKW to the MK start? We are booked on a tour at MK and I want to be there by 8:40 a.m. to see the opening ceremony before checking in for the tour. Will I make it on time? What time do the buses start and how often do they p/u at OKW? TIA

at least an hour before the park opens - so you should be fine - just remember to be up early.

there is only one bus until the park opens - so if you miss it - except a long wait....

The buses start their runs 60-90 minutes prior to park opening and generally come along about every 20 minutes (there are circumstances that could affect that time schedule like loading/unloading wheelchairs, traffic, etc.).

I always assume I will miss a bus and allow extra time to get anyplace using Disney transportation. To be there by 8:40am, I'd plan to be at your bus stop by 7:50 to allow for a 20 minute bus wait, 10 minutes to get thru the rest of the resort and a 15 minute bus ride to the gate area and on thru security.

You may also find yourself there quickly if the bus is there when you arrive at the stop and few passengers get on the bus - you could be there by 8:15!

This is one of these question where you are going to get different answers. When we were there in January they told us the busses start running 45 minutes before the park opens, that was however a concensus, we called 6 times to the front desk for a related question and got 6 different answers. The front desk is not the front desk by the way but a phone bank. I would not concern myself too much, they do start running soon enough to get you there for any event on the schedule. I wanted to get my grandaughter to a princess breakfast at EPCOT before the park opens, after hearing the many different answers to my question, I drove to BWV and walked.

never ask the front desk about the transportation - ask the bus drivers - they are more than willing to help you.

In my expereince delivering express check-outs at OKW the MK bus starts running between 6:30am and 6:45am... they are pretty right on with that, usually if the bus comes in at 6:30am it will go to the bus stop at South Point (by bldg 52) and stay there for about 10 minutes (unless of course there are people waiting). Other park buses seem to start right about 7am, but I would see the MK bus daily right around 6:30am. And they come about every 20-30 minutes even that early in the AM...I have seen 2 MK buses following each other at 7:15am (that is pretty regular too)

THAT is the best bit of Disney Advice you could ever get. Remember it, live by it, and you'll have no problems!
