OKW building 62

Hey all! New to these forums. We're checking in to OKW in a day and I called to find out our room assignment. Was told we are assigned building 62 - my question is this are all the rooms in 62 handicap room? We're don't necessarily need an HA room. Hoping there are regular rooms there.

That's interesting that they'd tell you what building you are assigned to before your arrival. Most of the time the re-assign us when we check-in anyway, unless the rooms are blocked for a reason, like traveling with a group and needing the rooms to be near each other.

But yes, there are HA and non-HA units in bldg 62. Depending upon how fully booked the resort is, you still may be assigned to a HA room, whether or not you need one.

Last month as we were checking into OKW a couple next to us was telling the CM checking them in that they had called the day before the were told they were in building 65 but wanted building 62. The member acted as if she had never heard of that before and told them they had them in building 20. They were still at check in when we left the lobby.

That would be a real treat to be in Bldg 65 because it doesn't exist.

We thought they made it up as they seemed to be trying to intimidate the CM.

By the way, buildings 62-64 are the best location for my family! Hope you have a blast!

LOL, building "65" must be in the middle of the island behind 64!

I'm going to guess that if they told you the assignment was 62, that you have a medical need for an elevator. That is usually the case with 62, 63, and 64. We love the location as long as it's not a studio or a lock off next to the road.

Bill , I think Bldg # 65 is the guard house at the front gate. And ...yes Bill there is a king sized bed in that building.
