Hello lovely people! My husband and I are taking a quick babymoon trip in a few weeks and can’t wait to stay at OKW. We’ll have my 3 year old and I’ll be pretty, pretty pregnant. We’re booked in a studio. What’s the best building to request that’s still within our category (unfortunately near HH was all booked up) and maybe close to the bus stop/pool? All my son wants to do is “swim in the sandcastle pool and ride the cars at Mickeys castle” lol. Thanks for all your help!

Can't help much in recommending a room that's not HH, but something to keep in mind. Will you be OK with climbing the stairs if you get a room on the 2nd or 3rd floors, since most of the buildings don't have elevators? If that might be an issue for you, you should definitely request a first floor room for your stay.

HH is 11-14 and 23-26 on the resort map. The closest building to those would be 27-29 Peninsular Rd side and 62-64 on Miller’s Rd side. (Those 3 are the elevator buildings). Honorable mention within HH range are 16 & 15 Miller’s Rd.

Otherwise a good spot is requesting the Old Turtle Pond area. It’s like a secondary community where you have bus stop (#3) and the Turtle Shack Snack Bar at its pool.

I also would recommend the Old Turtle Pond area. We brought my mother who struggled walking with us nd she was able to manage the walking pretty well and the busses were normally still open when they came

Our studio was in Bldg 18 and it was a good location for the quiet pool and bus stop. It’s also a reasonable walk to the HH.

My first recommendation would be Peninsular Road right across from the main buildings and pool. But Turtle Pond Road is also a very nice area and has a great pool with a handy snack bar. Another vote for possibly requesting a first floor unit to avoid a lot of stair-climbing. (Some folks don’t realize that only 3 buildings have elevators.)

Personally, I love buildings 27-29 if I'm not in the near-HH category. They're close enough for a short, easy walk to the restaurants, bar, and main pool, the Peninsular Road bus stop is the first one, plus you have the additional backup if you see your park bus just leaving the bus stop, of just walking over to HH bus stop and still getting on the bus before it heads out to the park. Building 62 is the closest one you can get to HH without being in the near-HH category.

Agree with this 100%. We've stayed in Bldg 27 3 times now and request it every time for how close it is to HH and the 1st bus stop, plus the view of the golf course. Never stayed in 62, but that is even closer to HH.
