OKW Bell Service -- limited or non existing in evening

We arrived at OKW on Tuesday 5/31 at approximately 7:45 PM and waited for a bell hop until 8:30!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!

We were told that after 7:00 PM there is only 1 bellhop available and after 10:00 PM there was no one available and that they would use one of the Guest Services Cast Member Staff...were told the next day that they use the bell hops to deliver the Magical Express luggage and that is a priority over us regular folks that choose not to use the service......we do not rent a car and take a Town Car from the airport.

I would like to write a letter to the OKW manager and inform them of my displeasure of this situation----anyone have the name and address, either e-mail or snail mail?

For future reference, should something like that happen again, just ask to speak with a manager right at the time- there is always one on duty at the resort. (Maybe they'd even take you to your villa). Certainly, they do minimize the Bell staff thru the evening, but someone should be able to take those without transportation to their room upon arrival - even if that's the manager!

We usually just have the towncar driver wait while I check in and have them take us right to our villa.
 
Thank you Doc....Our driver asked us if we wanted to do that, of course I didn't take advantage of that....in hindsight, I should have. The CM at the HH kept saying someone would be there in a few minutes and since I have never had a problem before I didn't really consider that option, but will certainly do that in the future.

I would have asked for the manager immediately. ME is a wonderful thing, but I doubt that is should be a priority over "regular" guest.

I can't believe that no one was able to help you. Heck, before we bought in DVC Reseale a year or so ago, the wife and I went to OKW just see the place. It was about 9:00 P.M. and they radioed a CM who basicaly gave us a tour of the place and of the different types of rooms.
 

I suspect they are still working out the kinks in ME. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Actually, we rarely use bell services, since we usually have a rental car, and drive it and our bags to the unit. No biggie to take them up ourselves, and we usually pack VERY light anyway (just a carry on size bag for each of us on ten night stays.)
 
Sorry about your Bellhop experience WOW. I agree with others who say write the letter. We've used Bell Services at OKW on a couple of occasions without a hitch. But we had to wait for a bellhop at BWV in 8/03 for over an hour as well. We were late checking out and got totally off our schedule. I just think it happens sometimes. Let us know if you get a response from management :flower:
