We are planning a trip with our Dutch friends for the first week in May, 2014.It will be their first time at WDW. I love the size of the rooms at OKW, the open kitchen and mature landscaping. However I really like BCV for location and the slide. It seems most of our dinners are in Epcot.

I own OKW and plan to book a 2 br at the 11 month mark. Yet I think for location we should try for BCV at the 7th. The first of week of May is not anything as far as holidays so we are hoping.

How hard is it to get a 2 br at BCV?

You shouldn't have too much difficulty getting something for the beginning of May, I wouldn't have thought.

I agree! I think you will be fine! I expect to be with my family at BCV the last week in April, before the WBPC cruise that begins on May 2,2014! It's a great place to stay for F&G.

Just a reminder that BCV has 3 types of 2 BR.
1) 2 BR lock off, a 1BR + a studio.
2) Dedicated with 2 queen beds in the 2nd BR
3) Dedicated with 1 queen and a pull out sofa in the 2nd BR

Thank you Bill, I didn't know this. Our friends are just an adult couple so I think they will want the master with one bed and we have our DS with us so we can take the room with 2 queens.

I think location and proximity to Epcot and DHS really is more important. We won't be spending much time in the room. DS loves the pool at BCV, I like the resort and we can go show them OKW on a slower day.

I don't think you'll have a problem, no matter which 2 bdrm you decide on.

At seven months out, you might not get the dedicated two bedroom villa with two queen beds. There are only 25 of them and they go quickly to owners at BCV. Would it be a problem to have one of the other two setups? If so, you might want to consider staying at OKW. BWV will be similar, but it doesn't have any dedicated two bedroom villas. So no second bedroom with two queens at all.

Keep your finger crossed for the dedicated 2bd with 2 queens. We have stayed at BCV about 3 times and have been able to get that configuration all 3 times at 7 months.

I am going to remain hopeful as we have stayed in a studio at BCV during the opening weekend for F&W two years in a row. We can take any two bed option but the one with the 2 queens or the studio would be perfect.

Is a lock out a studio and a 1 br but with a door connecting the living room to the studio that can be locked. So they would both have a front door? That might be a good option also for our trip so we could have our own little fridge for late night snacks.

I was able to book a 2BR 2Q for the week of memorial day this year at exactly 7 months. I think you will be successful next year for a 2BR at BCV in May. We love the convenience to Epcot.

If you get a lockoff two bedroom it will have two entrances into the villa. If you get a dedicated two bedroom, but with one queen and one double sleeper sofa, it won't have the entrance to the corridor and it won't have a kitchenette.

We were able to get a switch to BCV (2 bedroom) from OKW at the 7 month mark for June this year, no sweat. :thumbsup2
But on the other hand, we are on the wait list for a studio at BCV this October. :confused3 Guess the wine & food festival packs them in!!!?? :faint:
