OKW at $90 plus no closing?

We just bought 130 pts at OKW for $90/pt with no closing costs, as new members. I had the same AKV contract as you and this was better for us. Minimum buy in amount is 100 pts.

Wow, I was going to sign and send in my contracts tonight. This gives me something to consider. I just emailed my guide and she confirmed this deal. Not sure why this isn't out on dvcnews.com. I wonder what other deals for new members are out there that I don't know about...I don't like not knowing things!!!

So to confirm, Disney is offering OKW to new members for $90 a point with no closing costs??? What is the minimum buy in? I am holding AKV papers at $97 per point but if I could get $90, that would be something to consider.

We just bought in at 100 points which was what I was told the minimum buy is was. 100 points @ $90/point total cost = $9000.00 no closing cost Disney paid for them.

If you really want to stay at AKV them maybe you should go ahead. If you will be happy with OKW if you can't get in AKV at the 7 month window then I would say go for OKW. We visited AKV and we didn't like the feel of it. Beautiful resort no doubt but we prefer the less condo style feel of OKW. Love walking out our door to our car, not a 5 minute walk just to the elevator. Everyone chooses their home resort for different reasons...just be sure you will be happy with your choice.

All OKW contracts purchased thru DVC will have the extended contracts - January 31, 2057.

Just bought in! Confirming that you can buy in at 100 points to any of the sold out resorts (I think). Plus no closing costs. The point cost is higher if it isn't OKW but I got VWL which is what I really wanted!! Thanks to everyone who helped me in this decision.

I just got my contract for AKL. I am waiting for my guide to get back from vacation on Monday. I think that I am convinced .... OKW is what we will go with.

Yes, OKW is currently $90 direct whether it's an add on or new purchase. Since it's considered a "sold out" resort there are no incentives on the property and every point purchased is the same price.
