OKW at 7 months

How hard is it to get a reservation at the 7 month window? We are looking at buying a contract at Saratoga and using the points at OKW. What are the pros and cons?

It really depends on what time of year you are going. We booked a Studio at OKW for 2 nights on a Friday and Saturday (the first weekend of April), and we booked it 3 days prior to our arrival with no issues. At the 7 month window - you should be looking pretty good!

Depends on time of year.
We, today, couldn't get OKW for a reservation 12/11-12/18. Granted, that is 5 months out versus 6.

I'd be careful about buying SSR just to stay elsewhere. That 7 mos. window is not reliable and if you're interested in OKW, you can easily get it resale and probably through Disney, too.

That being said, in Jan and Feb, my family has only been able to get into OKW and SSR within 6 mos. at times.

And if you want a grand villa, the odds are not that good at 7 months out.

We're just looking for a 2 bedroom the first week of October starting next year, nothing too fancy.

It might be a little harder now that they put the sleeper chair in the livingroom. The one bedrooms sleep five and the two bedrooms sleep nine now. I just added 100 pts from dvc so I could book at 11 months in Dec.
