Still doing more research before we buy and have some questions about OKW 2057 contracts:

1. I assume 2042 owners were given the option to extend their contracts to 2057? What add'l money was required to do this? When was this offered?

2. I assume the 2057 re-sale contracts may go for a bit more than the 2042 contracts, but I don't see alot of history posted on this. Can anyone point me in the right direction to either confirm or refute this?

3. Is there anything else I am missing re: 2042 vs. 2057? I am assuming 2057 is the way to go?

Thanks so much in advance ~ you guys are the best!

Original extension cost was $15 per point in 2007. I believe you can still extend today for $25 per.

The present value of the extra years is only about $5 per point. IMO if you buy a '57 contract via resale and pay much of a premium, it's more of a peace-of-mind thing than a sound investment.

I just looked at the ROFR thread a few days ago. As near as I could tell, '42 contracts were going for a shade over $70 on average. '57 contratcts were about $75. So, right on the money for Tim's $5 present value number. Not very many data points yet for '57, so take it with a grain of salt.
