I PM'd her a suggestion and it took me about 10 seconds of thinking to come up with it. I didn't need to know any other information, it wasn't necessary to come up with a suggestion.
Gee, she is new here and they are planning a trip. Would it be the first time one of us overplanned a trip and tried to think of everything that might happen. Maybe they are thinking the jacuzzi tub will come in handy for sore feet.
I'm just not sure why jumping on her helps anyone find a solution.
Well, I'm glad you're that clairvoyant that you can provide the all-inclusive answer with the initial information. Personally, all my prompts for additional info were to determine if it is a small child and she is concerned about a noise barrier, or an older young lady (as she finally said she is since she is 16) and she is worried about a visual and possibly also a noise barrier.
Personally, I never made any assumptions about the use of the jacuzzi in my answers. Although some made suggestions about why everyone might need to use the jacuzzi, I didn't notice any hatred in their posts.
If it is indeed sore feet, then I would think that they would want to deal with those upon returning to the room so they unwind and can sleep peacefully, so her DD16 probably wouldn't be ready for privacy quite yet (although possible). Not sure that the OP knew the arrangement of the master bath, some of us just wanted her to know that the jacuzzi provides very little privacy from the master bedroom, for them or their friends in the studio. If their friends plan to use the jacuzzi early in the morning/day before others may be up, they will be awakened/disturbed since there is no way to close off that part of the bathroom (thought that might be a pertinent piece of info to someone who might not be familiar with the floorplan). If their friends are going to be waiting until they vacate the bedroom before using the jacuzzi, as I stated they would probably already be in the kitchen/living room area so DD16 is probably going to be awakened anyway. All of this info in turn determines any other possible solutions (some of which other OPs mentioned) that may not involve blocking off the opening to the area.
Since I will be there in two days I was going to use said info to try and determine any other possible solutions that may spring to mind since we will also be utilizing the living room area for sleeping arrangements. Guess I don't need to do that now since the problem has been resolved.
And to the OP, I hope you find the optimum solution and have a great vacation!
