If your traveling party will have mostly adults in the 2nd bedroom, I would go for a lock-off. This way they can come and go as they please without disturbing anyone in the one bedroom section. They will have their own kitchenette to make coffee or snacks. They will have a small balcony/patio of their own.

If they are younger children, I would go for the dedicated, simply for the protection factor of not having a second entry door.

The main differences between lock-off and dedicated at OKW are:

Lock-off: kitchenette, second entry door, small balcony

Dedicated: no entry door, no balcony, larger closet/no kitchenette

Both will have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom at OKW.

FYI

We always stay in a 2BR and request "Near Turtle Pond Area". We never request lock off or not

In approximately 20 trips -- every 2BR we have gotten in that area has been a dedicated one, not a lockoff. And we have always been in building 40-42

Like Chuck said, it really depends on your traveling party.

A lockoff or dedicated is actually reserved, it is not a request. They usually book dedicated first and leave the lockoffs to split as studios & 1 bedrooms.

If you want a lock off, you will need to specifically request that. Because, like DebbieB says, they usually reserve the dedicated first and fill up the rest of the reservations with lock offs.
