okv bed question

I have always been comfortable at OKW and I have a bad back -

The rooms at OKW are the biggest rooms of all DVC properties.

I know this isn't much help - but I hope it helps!!

We just got back from OKW, stayed in a 1 Bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. I cannot speak to what is better if you are in a wheelchair, but I do know a number of buildings are designated as Handicap accessible (building 13 is right across from the Hospitality House), and the map has been posted here.

We have not stayed at AKV. The one thing that might make it a bit more Handicap friendly is that it is more of a contained resort. The Main Building where you stay has everything right there (restaurants, shops, lobby etc), where at OKW it is much more spread out. Some buildings are pretty far from the main area.

It just depends on what room you get at OKW. On our last two stays at OKW we had very firm and uncomfortable mattresses in both the main bedroom and the studio portion. Our room on a prior trip had a very comfortable mattress which I think was newer.

The mattresses in the AKV model rooms felt very nice. I would think since they are all new, the AKV mattresses would be more comfortable.
