Okay, all together now:
"We told you so!"
LOL
Had my second session with the counselor last night, and despite going in with at "nah, she's not going to be able to help me" attitude, she is.
She's good, and we hit it off pretty well. Good memory and review of her notes. Led the conversation pretty well. She got a good feel for my type of personality, so was able to tailor things toward what I would listen to or want to do most. And she did set me up with some "homework".
She also explained that, despite my thoughts to the contrary, yes Tai Chi *can* have an effect even the next day. I've been doing my Tai Chi (or at least the warmup) most nights in the past week and have been feeling *so* much better. It's probably a combination of the Tai Chi and the new meds (which still give me a mild headache, but the side effects are lessening each day and the dr let me stay on half-dose for a while), but whatever is causing it, I'm feeling so much better and am able to focus and feel better about things now than I was even back in Dec before all this happened. That's a *HUGE* jump, for me to go from the worst I've ever felt in my life, to better than I was in December. So I'm going to have to do even more Tai Chi. Which I enjoy doing, so isn't that big of a challenge.
Anyway, just thought y'all would like to know, and have the chance to tell me "told you so".
Thanks for the push, y'all.
