Okay WISH friends....I need SOMETHING.....

I completed 5 straight weeks of my workout plan....loving my rewards...and then in week 6 I get sick and am unable to complete it...I still managed to workout 3 days (WATP) but that was all.....so now I need HELP! I am feeling guilty over missing a week (even though dh says I shouldn't feel bad--if you are sick then you shouldn't work out).
Tomorrow (pending I feel better) starts week 7 and I plan to get going again....
I just need SOMETHING:
a kick in the butt
a motivating statement
words of encouragement
smack in the face
new recipes, workout ideas
ANYTHING!!!!!

Help me get back in the groove....I am only 9 lbs from goal with 52 days until my big vacation.......

Please WISH friends......can I do this?? Can I get rid of some lbs and some of this "pudge" in the next 7 weeks??? I know it is possible, but......UGH!!! Okay, no pity party here....I will stop now!;)
 
Hey Kamy! Don't feel guilty about missing workouts when you're sick ... just concentrate on getting back on track! And ... you're only nine pounds away from your goal! Just think about how close you are and how hard you've worked to get to this point :) I know you can do it :cool:

You are only 9 pounds away from your goal. That is so awesome, and you are SO going to do that before your big vacation.

Don't beat yourself up about being sick and missing out on some exercise. You are on a lifechanging journey, and you have the rest of your life to exercise. It's sort of like food. Don't let yourself feel guilty about ANYTHING! Not food, not EXERCISE! When you get better and you will, you will start exercising again. For now, you are taking care of yourself, which is what you need. If you try to exercise and get overloaded and overwhelmed because you are sick, you will get more discouraged. Think how good you will feel once you are healthy again and you THEN start your routine and you are happy because you are feeling better.

Besides..........you did WATP for 3 days while being sick. I think that is an awesome accomplishment!

Take this time to rest and reflect at all that you have accomplished. Just think how awesome it is going to be to go on your vacation and be at GOAL. I think you sthould definately be able to obtain GOAL by then. If not, you should be so close that you will look and feel like you are at GOAL.

Keep up the great work..........you are doing awesome. I hope you feel better soon.

Secondly, WOW!! only 9 more lbs to go to goal -- that's fantastic!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc You can do it!!

I must agree with what Melanie said - you don't want to over do it while you're on the mend....take it easy at the beginning, then build up the exercise again. Doing WATP 3 x is great - I can't say that I would have done even 1 time!


Keep your chin up, and your eyes on goal - you're almost there !!!

Melanie did a great job and covered the most important point as I can figure. You are on this as a lifetime situation, don't fret about a short-term goal. You will do it! You are doing great and are staying in this throughout your life. Hang in there, get better and then go get 'em!
 
for my friend Kamy - i'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling well :( PD and Mommy hugs to you to feel better very very soon!!

NOW - you know that it's contra-productive to work out when you are truly sick, and it sounds like you were/are! Your body needs rest to recover and fight off this nasty bug and draining any of it's minimal reserves of zest slows down that fighting off thing. Truly, when you are sick, take the time off until you feel well enough then ease back into it. Now, think how guilty you'll feel if you end up with somethinge like mono or pneumonia b/c you overexerted your poor immune system when it was trying to protect you!!

now for your chart - if it makes you feel better, I have skipped a few weeks too and I'm currently working on week 3 yes 3! So, you have done super awesome to stick to it so consistently, now you have to take and week off and that's ok, you'll jump back on the chart when you are healthly. I don't think it's a wash, don't start over, just pick up where you left off!

NOW - eat lightly, soup, salads, etc and stay lower in pts and you WILL lose some of that poundage before vacation. Of course still vary your pts, but I would probably vary on the lower end if I was not exercising. But then again, what do I know?? :)

Just relax, this is forever and those pounds will come off. If you aren't totally at goal when you leave it's ok, you'll hit it when you get back. Kamy, you look great, you are a fabulous person and it makes me very sad that you are being so hard on yourself! I need to know you'll be nice to yourself, you are worth it!
 
OMG!!!:teeth: I followed your link to your pictures!!! WOW!!! I mean WOW!!! You are doing GREAT!! I can't get over the transformation you have made!! Everyone has hit the nail on the head!! Relax, you can do it!! Don't be so hard on yourself--you have done so well, you should be so proud of yourself!!
Take it easy until you feel better, take easy walks, and do some stretching to move out the sickness!!

I hope you are feeling better! I say you did great by doing WATP 3x! As others have said your body needed rest. This wasn't by your choice that you didn't complete the plan exactly. It was a bump in the road. This is a lifelong journey and bumps will come along, just steer around the and avoid all potholes!!!! LOL!

Remember..... PROGRESS not perfection, and you are making GREAT progress! stand up and shout, because you are doing great!
 
OK, now Sweetie - enough of beating yourself up! You were sick - that's life! You WILL get rid of those last pounds before vacation! (Although I agree - you look MAHvelous!!)

Hang in there! You'll get there!!
 
Hey Buddy, I know you can do this, you are a VERY motivated person and if anyone can do this it is you. I am sorry that you were sick and sure hope you are feeling a lot better today. Your DH is right, you were sick and when you are sick you are supposed to give your body a rest and take care of it, (plus you did do three days of WATP) so don't beat yourself up over that. Today starts a new day and you can get right back on the program. Onward and downward!

Well, it sounds like you were in the boxing ring, beating yourself up. Don't you know that is NOT a WISH approved method of exercising?

Listen to what everyone else said. YOU WERE SICK! You need to give your body time to rest when you are sick, not feel guilty like you were a lazy bum who didn't WANT to exercise! Sheesh! Do you want me to come up to MI and give you the hairy eyeball for talking like this? ;)

Seriously, I think you DESERVE a reward for this week as well! And hop back on that exercise wagon and go for it!

And as other people have said, this is a lifetime change, not just a "diet" to lose weight and then go back to the old lifestyle of eating willy nilly and not exercising. If you don't lose 9 pounds before your WDW trip/cruise, that does NOT make you a failure!!!! You have the rest of your life to lose those 9 pounds, and I'm sure you'll lose at least 4-5 of them before your cruise, if not all of them! Be nice to yourself, Kamy, or you'll end up with a concerned mob of WISHers on your doorstep for an intervention! ;)

(((((((((((Kamy)))))))))))) You've done a great job with WW and exercising and your pictures are PROOF that you are getting smaller and sexier and healthier, don't play this mental game with yourself! I love ya! You are a beautiful woman, inside and out, and I want you to think happy, healthy thoughts, not negative beat yourself up thoughts! Ok?

You guys are so wonderful and a reminder of why WISH is so important. I just got into work and logged in to check out the boards and here I am with tears in my eyes. You guys are so wonderful to me! Thank you.... :)
I am feeling better and did wake up this morning and do WATP...this is the start of week 7 for me....and I am taking it day by day.

I will be okay, so no worries......but if I continue to whine, does that mean some of you will end up on my doorstep??? I love to see WISHers!!! LOL!!!!! ;)

It is just so frustrating to still look in the mirror and see things that I don't like, but I guess that is life and that is how it will always be. I just want so badly to feel comfortable in my new swimsuit for my cruises.....I mean, I look fine IN clothing (you ladies know what I mean ;) ) I bought a new halter bikini...yes I said BIKINI! UGH!! Dh says I look great, but I still got that pudge and want it to flatten a bit more....I haven't worn a bikini since high school!!!! :) So I will be wearing it....no matter what...figure after losing all this I can....but whether I need to "suck in the gut" is still yet to be seen!LOL!!

So, I weighed in this morning and did manage to lose a pound, so down we go......8lbs to goal and lots more toning.......7weeks from Friday we leave for FL......so here I go...one step at a time! :)

Well, it seems you have all the encouragement you need! I was thinking I could give you all the Marine encouragement my son gives me but that's kinda rough. So, with 8 pounds to go get focused and get busy cause you know you can do it! Show those germs whose in charge they can't keep you down for long!

Thanks Melissa.....every bit of motivation helps....so I will continue to feed off my WISH buddies....so thank you for continuing to be here for me....
I am hopeful I can get back into the swing.... :)
 
Update- I did day two of my WATP..I think I am getting back into the groove....been doing well with my eating....even went to Taco Bell with Dh last night (he really wanted some tacos! LOL!) and all I had was a pinto's and cheese (3pts).... :)

You are just getting closer and closer to goal! I'm so glad you took those boxing gloves off and started LOVING yourself again! You are a great person and you should NEVER EVER beat yourself up!!! EVER! ;)
