okay smart dissers why have I had pain in my stomach two nights in a row.
Background changed to healthy lifestyle eating and exercise 5 weeks ago. I have lost 16 pounds since christmas (14 in last 5 weeks) by trying. I eat alot more raw veggies and fruit and salad, salad, salad. I have been walking 5-6 days a week. I started at 14 minutes on treadmill and have increased to 22 minutes. I walk outside for 1/2 hour if weather permits.

I was feeling great until two nights ago. I started with a pain all across my stomach belly button area all the way across. Not sharp stabbing pain more like dull won't go away pain. It was not directly after eating dinner but 2 hours later. I did eat at TGIFridays on Friday night but I ate off there healthy menu and had Mahi Mahi, brown rice, broccoli. I tried tums but it did not change the pain (so I don't think it was gas). Only thing that helps is laying still. I eventually fell asleep and it was gone when I got up.

Tonight I got the pain back about 5pm prior to eating dinner at home. I was cooking dinner when it started again. I was able to eat some. Last night I felt nausea with it (no throwing up). I thought maybe I was getting a bug but no bathroom problems or throwing up. no fever. I was freezing Friday night but the wind was crazy here and it was cold. I went to bed in pain last night and this morning its gone.

I can't figure it out. Could it be the walking ? Am I sick? I'm not complaining because it goes away but it is bothering me to be in pain for no reason.

You've probably just irritated your stomach in some way--usually food related. Healthy food or not, it all has the potential to bother you. You could have a very mild form of food poisoning, or something could have just irritated you.

I get a lot of stomach troubles and have had similar symptoms. Usually, they subside in 3-4 days. I would let it ride and if it continues through the middle of the week, then you should maybe check with your doctor.

It is not the walking, I am sure.

Lay off the salads and "gassy" veggies, like onion, cabbage, garlic, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumbers, and peppers.

Write down everything you eat.:thumbsup2

Do you still have your gallbladder? Sometimes going on a diet will mess up the gb? If it still continues to hurt, check with your MD. Hope you feel better.:grouphug:
