We've only been once to U&IOA (one day for both parks). That was in Jan '04. We'll be back in Jan '06. I'd love to know what's new in both parks in the last 2 years, or if anything has since been closed. Our absolute FAVOURITE was the 10 minute experience my kids had with the mystic fountain. It was priceless!

TIA!

Fear Factor replaced the Western Show at Universal Studios. I guess the Mummy Opened in 2004. I think that King Kong was already closed when you got there. I don't think there were any additions at IOA in the last year and 1/2. When we were there in July 05, the Mystic Fountain was still there. They opened a second Shrek 3D show so the lines won't be that bad.

Thats about all I know.

if you like the mystic fountain, you'll love the new interaction with Donkey from Shrek. it's across from the shop as you exit Shrek 4D.

we went to universal in august 2005 and went to the mystic fountain while waiting ofr dueling dragon universal express tim to come. there was barely anyone around when my sister and i went to the fountain. we talked for a while. i was wearing a mets shirt and he talked to me about that. he told us to look over there! and he sprayed both of us. right before we left he saw my sis had a water bottle and shouted THOSE ARE MY RELATIVES! THEY ARE CLAUSTROPHOBIC! and he blasted a HUGE amount of water and we all got SOAKED! it was so much fun and definetly one of the highlights of our trip. the fountain is there and i highly doubt its going anywhere.

Thanks for the info! We'll definately look for the Donkey interaction. My kids are shy, but because no one was around they answered the fountain. Then, he hooked them when he found out they were Canadian & he said "Oh, so THAT's why you're so polite!". They thought that was hysterical, and by the time they were done we had a large crowd around us. Not sure where the people came from...the park was EMPTY!!
