I'll start there were three

#1 At the contemporary (Sorry Censored) boy was it ever scary.

#2 At Epcot I took my (Sorry Censored) man we laughed for weeks

#3 At the Dolphin I was in bed with Mean Laureen eating pizza when suddenly (Sorry Censored) boy did she ever laugh.

Okay okay just kidding

The strangest things, or days well knowing me the list is endless, but here are a few.

While working at the Grand Floridian 2 weeks before the resort opened I was testing the sound system at the same time Dick (I hope I'm spelling it right) Nunez anyway he was an up there high mucketty muck at the time, was walking through with the press people. Me being 20 at the time decided it was late, and I was gonna rock the house, so with over 1500 watts at my disposal I cranked the Floridian audio system to level 9. The gentleman in question called the Castle and pulled all my source music… Well I figured operator headspace, so I mixed my signal from my Walkman within 2 minutes I had AC/DC's back in black jamming through out the resort, and I mean everywhere. The gentlemen walking around were not amused, they made a phone call since they had no clue where I was, and I was way up inside the mezzanine far from human contact so they had power pulled to my section of the building. Well when the emergency lights came on knew something was wrong.

By the way they too were at 6-foot candles, even then Disney was on target.

As I was going down the stairs security was coming up the stairs looking for that crazy kid working on the sound system, I pointed them up the stairs, and ran down the stairs… actually I was escorted to security and held there until the press left, just to make sure I caused no more trouble. It was great I had cookies and Coke and got to watch TV for an hour.

No I did not get in trouble they kinda thought it was cute when it happened.

The next thing was during the opening day of the Wilderness Lodge I was invited to the opening day, which was really a press and travel agents only opening day. We were there to make sure nothing went wrong. I took Donna and the two grandkids, and managed to sneak them into the pool area. Well once inside they were wined and dined, they got complimentary terry cloth robes, swimsuits, they got champagne, and a catered lunch. At the end of the day when I was ready to go I went to collect the ladies, but was stopped by security and told only press was allowed in the area. So there I was crawling through the bushes trying to get Miss Donna's attention… Oh she saw me and even managed to wave back, but refused to come over to were I was, even though I tried from several different vantage points I caught her attention several times, and all she did was wave back. Well I finally had to go into the Kitchen and ask a busboy to get a message to the blonde lady to meet me by the exit that it was time to leave. 40 minutes later Miss Donna came up being chauffeured in a golf cart to the parking lot like Princess Diane herself. She had a good time, as did the girls, as for me I worked and ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and got a rash from crawling through the bushes.

The latest was a few days ago at Epcot I plugged my cell phone to charge the battery and he next thing I knew all the lights went out.

Those are the only two I can post here; so tell me what was the weirdest, strangest day, or thing that happened to you at Disney.

Disclaimer…

The two stories are true the rest well you know. I was in bed with Mean Laureen but Donna was there also. (wait that makes it worse) we were just eating pizza… Really… oh fine you people are sick.

I met Ed. :p :jester: :)

disclaimer of my own -- never read a post from Ed to Lauri while she is eating ... #3 almost made hamburger patty come out her nose. :smooth:

So, Ed, you were only 20 years old in 1989, huh?
And the name is N-u-n-i-s, I believe. He retired a few years ago.

And oh to be there again he would do it all the same again :p

The best part is when we found out who was spending their honeymoon there.

Now there is a trivia question for ya... who was it kids... I know 'cause I was there but you guys have to guess.

I bet he would do it all over again! ;)

Cant we have a clue, one little clue about who it was? Please? :(

she's gorgeous and so is he and they aren't married anymore.

#3 At the Dolphin I was in bed with Mean Laureen eating pizza when suddenly (Sorry Censored) boy did she ever laugh.

Ed, Ed, Ed... you forgot the Chocolate Mousse. Get the story right. Geesh:rolleyes:

Never never never challenge Mean Laureen to a chocolate mousse jello fight in bed its just not pretty. Fun but not pretty.

And for those wondering who the couple was hmmmmm try this clue she worked at a radio station. He did movies.

hint for her:

a leader in the television production industry, announced that its newest show that premiered on June 5, 2002 is hosted by the lovely and talented Ms ____________________.

hint for him:
He was the Number 1 actor at the box office for five years in a row (1978 through 1982),

Raulandpinboy and I have each given you hints, and no one has even tried to guess..do you need us to give you more hints...??? Or just spell it out for you...

I know who it is. :)

Ed, you could have said she worked at a FICTIONAL radio station!

For those who don't know, here's another hint:

"As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."

For God's sake, it was Loni Anderson and Burt Reynolds!
Are you happy now! ;)
By the way, the Grand Floridian opened in 1988.

Okay, well these don't compete with the above, but when my husband and I went to WDW on our honeymoon in 1988, everyone we met thought we were weird going to DisneyWorld for our honeymoon. Imagine that...

(BTW, on our wedding video, the best man says "Brad and Sharon...you just got married...what are you going to do now???" And of course we got to yell...."We're going to DisneyWorld!!!")

We also experienced one of the characters breaking character. We were having breakfast with Goofy, and he was just so excited to see our University of Michigan t-shirts, that he had to tell us that he was a student there. It was pretty funny.

us eating creamed corn out of a can on main street once. Or was that another couple? Old-timers you know what I mean !!!

Burt and Loni it was.

And we could get no closer then 200 feet from them at any given time.

They had a team of cast members there waiting for the word that they arrived, then they had light about a 100 little boat candles in the pools. It was quite a site to see.

You guys should ask Donna how she witnessed the theft of over 20 rooms of furniture and almost got kidnapped, cause she kept looking in the thieves' truck asking them what they doing there so late and what was going on. :p

Rule #1 never sneak your wife into a Disney construction site… The term just stay out of the way and keep a low profile did not apply to her.

All though it was funny when she refused to follow me into the main hall because the door said stage entrance. (They all say stage entrance) she thought it actually was a stage on the other side.

OMG...Donna almost got kidnapped?!? LoL!!! :)

Donna, do tell, do tell! Inquirin' minds wanna hear the story! :D

That can of corn post is what got me hooked on theses boards I still laugh at cans every now and then

What is wrong with sneaking into a construction site? I was at the Beach Club one time when they were redoing guest rooms ... never mind!

Great minds, get in the same kind of trouble.:p

Donna, I didn't get into trouble :)! I was eventually invited to look around :)!
