Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Not much of a TV watcher. :) I won't be missing 24, will I? That is one show I just saw and love it! :teeth:

Please tell me it's Monday morning!!!! :guilty:

But then it's time to start that whole home to work, home to work, home to work craziness. Yuck! I much prefer the weekend at home.

PW...the lonliness I hate. Completely hate it. There is only so much that you can do by yourself before you drive yourself crazy. I use to not mind going out and eating by myself for example, but not when it happens 9 times out of 10, it gets old. And I don't think my bf understands that really.

Brianna went to her father's yesterday after a color guard activity. So my mom and I went over to St. Pete to see the Diana exhibit. It was done very well, but so sad. Bought myself a pair of earrings that were similar to those she wore for her wedding. Went and got a pedicure and manicure. Haven't had that done in ages. I guess it was a me day yesterday :)

I have testing in school this week, so it'll be an easy week. Catch up on my grading finally!

Suzanne- Sounds like you had a great me day :)

Don't get me wrong....I get lonely too. If I'm by myself I'll never go out to eat. I'll pick up something and bring it home. It seems like I've been alone for so long that being alone now has become normal.

Bizybea- I like to watch the Oscars to see what they are wearing.

Sounds like a fun day, Suzanne. :) I can't picture the earrings. I can just picture her gorgeous sapphire and diamond ring! Or is that the earrings?

I agree with you, Legs, on work, home, work, home. But I guess it's been so long since I've worked that I'm glad to have my mind occupied for the most part during the day. I have had boring moments where thoughts creep in, but I'm sure that will change this week as my VP boss will be back from vacation! :) I haven't seen any work from him yet outside of scheduling something and small stuff. I'll have to let him know he should throw things my way. :) I just absolutely HATE my desk being at the front door though. HATE playing receptionist. Ugh!! Someone told me they had trouble with anyone and everyone going through the office. So they took out the first office by the door and made it my area. Oh, joy. First thing I thought when I showed up for my interview was...Oh, great! They have a receptionist! Someone was actually there that day. Didn't know that would be me! :( Kind of difficult to work there while my three bosses are in the back of the office. Don't like it at all. But I tell myself this is still paying me more than the hospital in FL did. Not much at all, but it is. Doesn't quite make up the difference of the drive changing from 8 miles round trip to 64 round trip. :faint: But if I work around here, I lose $5,000! Can't go there.

I'm working on setting up a lunch date...with a short guy from eHarmony. I guess I'll have to wear flats. He seems nice from the e-mails. Trying to get lunch next weekend set up.

It's good that you're giving the short guy a chance. How much shorter is he? I know for me too that I must have a guy as tall or taller than I am. I don't like to look down on the guy that I am with.

He's an inch to an inch and a half shorter. (Am I shrinking? LOL!) With just my usual 2" heels, I'd easily be 3 inches taller than him. :( Bring on the 6' 2" and taller guys!! :teeth:  Never been out with someone shorter.

I'll tell you, even if I spend time with DS, the lonliness still bothers me! It has to be the lack of companionship of an adult specifically. :(

I look forward to Brianna's dance classes on Wed to be able to have some "adult" conversation with the other mother's for 45 minutes. We all get along so well :)

That sounds familiar, Suzanne. When DS was a baby it bothered me even then. I'd be on the phone with someone while he was napping. He'd start to wake up and cry. The person on the phone would say...I'll let you go, I hear him. My thought was Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, don't let me go! Ugh!

:cool1: It's Monday! It's Monday! :cool1: ;)
Good luck on your date, PW!

Good luck also, Ms. PW!

Last night was one of the odd ones for SSB, as first time to watch Oscars alone... blech. Was able to trade a couple of messages and friends in contest called.

Hope that everyone has a wonderful week!!!!!

At first I read that as "trading massages". Didn't sound bad to me. :earboy2: At least Million Dollar Baby got its due.

I finally closed on the house today. The entire process has literally been one of the worst in my life. The buyers were so unreasonable. They even had the nerve to ask for $45 from me after the closing! Their realtor is actually giving them the money. :confused3 The market here is so bad that my rent has actually gone down $120 since when I first submitted an application! Is that not unbelieveable? I wish I lived in Florida.

Moving day is tomorrow. :sunny: Tiger Bear has moved so many times I know she will be fine...its my boy that I am a little worried about. It's his first move and he is really going to miss his backyard. At least he has the dog park and his walks will become much more regular.

I hope you have fun Sandy. The older I get the more I realize some things that I thought were important really are not. I still think I will never understand men. I got an email from a guy from eharmony - after not hearing from him for over a month after he cancelled our meeting. He acted like we had just talked yesterday.

Hope everyone's week is off to an ok start. Hang in there everyone. :grouphug:

I didn't even watch the Oscar's this year. I think the only movie I saw that was up for contention was the Incredibles. Been too much in Mommy mode this past year.

Gave Brianna a bubble bath with my Stress Relief stuff. I figured if it can put me to sleep, it should do something like it to her. She came home kind of sick today. It's that darn change of weather again. I thought "Spring" was here, but I guessed wrong.

Looking forward to this weekend. Have a Mommy and Daughter tea on the Oriental Express theme. Bought some Oriental clothes when I was at Epcot 2 weekends ago with a friend. Then I'm off to a fundraiser for Bri's school that night with my mom. Suppose to dress up as a pirate, but I think I'm going to pass.

Have fun, Suzanne! Sounds like you'll be hopping.

Thanks, everyone. Is there no middle of the road? I had a note from Karl on EH. Nice enough note, but the daily thing is starting to bug me. LOLOL! Maybe I will change my mind before Saturday is here.

TOO funny....! :) Sorry to say just my cats watching with me.... haha! Sam & Frodo... they are brothers whose Mom was run over by a car and raised by vet for good while. Frodo has seven toes on each front foot, so thought to name them after hobbits.

Sorry to hear of the closing woes... and had some bad stories over time also with those. At least DONE, that is great... and great about the rent.

Suzanne, your mother/daughter event sounds like a BLAST. Make sure to get us a picture, as would be great to see.

PW, you are too funny about the Karl dealee!!! :)

Congrats on the sale, TB!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc It's unbelievable what little nit picking things sometimes need to be done to get the sale through. Don't let it bug you! When I bought my home in FL, the guy selling it didn't want to budge a nickle on the price after going back and forth a couple times. And he was adamant that he wasn't repairing a thing. Finally did get him to drop a little more.

Congrats on the lower rent! :earseek: I can't imagine that happening. You must have lucked out!

Thanks, SSB! :teeth: Got another note today. He's calling me "Sandra." Does not get him on my good side. LOLOLOL!! Does he not read when I sign "Sandy"? :teeth:

Way late to work as read in my oldest son's class today... a book on Jackie Robinson. Created a powerpoint slideshow of about 35 pictures throughout his life, which they seemed to get a kick out of. LOTS of questions at the end of my presentation, so I was psyched... :)

Hope all having a good Wednesday!

PS: Off to see Elvis Costello tonight at HOB ... all come along!

He's calling me "Sandra."

:rotfl: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!! I hope he doesn't do that on your date!
